I try to inform you all about any and all sales on lip balm I hear about. I have yet to purchase from this company but am considering it since they are having a sale. This company has crazy amounts of flavors to offer, but their prices are a little steeper than most companies I've reviewed (shipping wise and product wise). But maybe it's because they're totally super awesome? I have no idea, but I want to find out. Anyways, here's the information for this "Christmas in July" sale on their Etsy page:

Some Big News and Changes!

Hey all!

I don't know if you've noticed, but there have been some changes to the blog! My lovely boyfriend has been working for hours to create the design as well as many new things that are soon to follow. I'm so grateful for his hard work, I've been wanting a real design for this page since day 1. I figured that 7 months into the blog, it was about time I got a real design and not just a template.

With this change comes another change, a name change.

I have so many big ideas about where I want this blog to go in the future and how I want it to run, so because of these things I want to avoid any confrontation I may encounter from the Chapstick Company. I will be changing to the Lip Balm Wrangler instead. I know it is a much lamer name but it's one that gets the point across and includes the word "wrangler".

The link for this blog will change to www.lipbalmwrangler.blogspot.com but if you search or type in www.chapstickwrangler.blogspot.com it should take you to the same page. If you use the bookmarking feature on your browser, you might as well change it to this new link. I will post a couple more reminders that I am changing to The Lip Balm Wrangler. I just don't want anyone to be surprised when they are expecting The Chapstick Wrangler!

This balm is seriously fabulous for chapped lips, instantly moisturized and nourished. This has truly been my fall back lip balm whenever I'm in need of balm.

Creamsicle by Orange Thyme

This has been a balm I've been using nightly. It may be because of convenience, it's been the first one on top of my lip balm container by my headboard. But I think it's also great because it's summer.

I finally received my order from Jadewicks! After months of eyeing her balms and the frequent recommendations by others to try them, I took the plunge! I was also glad that these balms didn't melt with how hot it's been outside. Here's the low down on these highly anticipated balms.

Company: Jadewicks

Flavors: Blood Orange, Sparkling Lychee, Asian Peach, and Chamomile Pear. Christine was nice enough to throw in a free sample of Chamomile Pear! Yay! The Blood Orange isn't as "bloody" as I'd like to it be, if that makes sense. My really good blood orange balms have a huge indicator that they're blood orange instead of just orange. This balm, unfortunately for me, seems just like sweet orange. Not saying that's bad, I do love orange flavored balms, but I was hoping for a sharp, distinct scent of blood orange. The Sparkling Lychee is hard to get the scent I think. It's not crazy strong so the first time I smelled it I thought there was no scent at all. But if you inhale a little more you get it! It's a very light lychee scent! This is to be expected since lychee fruit don't really have a crazy strong scent. I thought this would be my favorite scent of the bunch, followed by Blood Orange but it wasn't. I definitely liked the Asian Peach the best. The Asian Peach is really pleasant, it's peach with a very, very tiny hint of ginger. I'm not a huge fan of ginger but I was hoping for just a smidge more ginger but I can't really complain! It smells absolutely delicious! The Chamomile Pear is wonderful. It is a soft, crisp pear scent. There's not really anything much to say there; it is as it says it should be. I was hoping these flavors would have a stronger punch since I LOVE balms with strong, delicious scents. But, if you like softer scented balms, these may be the ones for you!

Wear: These balms go on very smooth. The very first use for each balm I had to struggle a little to get it going but once it was going it was good to go! It goes on super smooth. However, I can still feel the chapped-ness of my lips through the balm so I'm not sure if it completely nourishes and moisturizes my lips deeply. I have other balms where you can't feel any chapped-ness after applying and maybe that makes me biased. The balm lasts about two hours which is great!

Packaging: These tubes are so simple and to the point, I love it! There is no extra clutter on the labels or anything distracting. Just simple a white tube of average size with a colored band matching the flavor and a colored line on the label. I love the simplicity of these balms. This is a good example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, these balms are not simple or plain.

Price: 3 tubes for $9. Not too shabby for a natural balm especially since every order gets a free sample. The samples are not "sample" size either, they're full sized (at least for the lip balm)!

Rating: 4 out of 5 twists. I would definitely recommend trying these balms, you get a free sample with every order and the balms are made fresh when you order. You even get to pick what sample you want! What more could you ask for? I now see why these balms are always recommended to me!

Lush Lip Candy (Fresh and Natural Co)

I placed this order a while ago and am so excited it came today! I hope you guys have tried Lush Lip Candy/Fresh and Natural Co already but if you haven't, get to it! I ordered a lip balm and lip scrub combo and since it was a buy one get one free deal, I received two lip balms and two lip scrubs..or I thought that's what I'd receive at least. The lip scrubs will be reviewed in the near future when I've got a real opportunity to use them. I've never used a lip scrub before so it'll be quite the adventure! Also, I apologize for the crazy amount of pictures, I was really obsessed with the packaging and taking pictures outdoors. Without further adieu....

This is definitely different from before and I LOVE it!

Company: Lush Lip Candy (now Fresh and Natural Co)

Flavors: Blueberry Lemonade, Acai Peach & Papaya, Glamour Girl, and Blushing Apricot. Glamour Girl and Blushing Apricot are lip tints that I received as freebies; I was very surprised when I opened the package and found four tubes instead of two. Although I'm not a huge lip tint fan (I prefer colorless, deliciously scented balms) I will write about what I think of them. The Blueberry Lemonade is a PERFECT blend of Blueberries and sweet, tangy lemonade. I say this one is up near my Lemon and Blueberry from C.O. Bigelow (reviewed here) and the Blueberry Lemon from Orange Thyme (reviewed here). I just love this combination of two of my favorite things! I had no idea what to expect from the Acai Peach & Papaya balm; it is such a crazy blend of different complementary flavors. It smells so sweet, like candy. I can't really describe what it's like but it is fruity and pleasant. I don't think I'm that big of an Acai berry fan but I didn't mind it in this balm. The Glamour Girl has no scent really, I thought it was a little minty at first but it's pretty unscented. Blushing Apricot was the same way.

Wear: True to the previous balms I've purchased, these balms go on SO smooth! There is no fight in these balms, they just melt on your lips and go on so easily. There's great coverage too! I love oval shaped tubes, I just feel that they contour to your lips better than circular tubes. Glamour girl is a light red color, it doesn't show up on my skin and doesn't show up really on my lips. The Blushing Apricot makes my lips look a little bronze and I think that's the color it was going for.

Packaging: Like I said, these balms are kept in oval tubes and have very cute labels! The labels match the flavor and there is a big section dedicated to the balms flavor. These balms are just adorable. Also, she changed the material the labels are made out of! They are no longer just paper, they are waxy which is great to prevent fading of the label over time. Yay!

Price: A lip balm and scrub set costs $6. I think that's quite a deal! A lip balm alone is $3.25 and a lip tint is $5.50. A scrub alone is $4. I always think these balms are worth it and the prices are always crazy reasonable.

Overall:
Pros: Flavors, packaging, price, wear, natural
Cons: Nothing

Rating: 4 out of 5 twists. Do yourself a favor and try these balms! There are TONS of flavors and flavor combinations, you will definitely find something that fits your tastes.
