Balms I've got my eye on

Here's another one of the new features I'll try implementing into the blog: balms I've been meaning to try but can't justify purchasing or just balms I've stumbled upon this week. Also, most of these are from Etsy just FYI. So here goes:

This balm looks SO delicious. I know I've had a reader recommend them to me before but I'm still hesitant until I can find a couple other flavors I like. (I like to buy at least two balms from a single company for comparisons.)

If you've been following along, you KNOW how much I LOVE balms from Orange Thyme. They are just phenomenal! This is a new flavor and I really want to try it, I think it'd be great for summer!

I think this would be a crazy combination and a very interesting one, my favorite fruit mixed with mint (another one of my favorites)?! That sounds mind blowing! (It seems I've got an orange theme going on here...hmm..)

I have been crazy about coconut lemongrass balms ever since my first order from Lush Lip Candy (now Fresh and Natural Co). They are just like candy to me, they're fabulous!

There, I broke the orange theme I had going on for a minute!

I think these balms would be great for summer.

Have any of you tried any of these balms? Or these companies? What balms have you been eyeing lately?

Have a good rest of the week!

  1. I've tried the Summer Honey from Lippincott Soap Co. and wasn't too impressed. It tasted old and was thick and sticky - I wiped it right off and never used it again. I LOVE their soaps though...

    1. Thank you so much for sharing! It's really unfortunate that it was thick and sticky! It sounds like it would have been a great balm. I haven't tried their soaps but will definitely keep that in mind the next time I'm looking for some good handmade soap!

      Thanks for sharing!

  2. I couldn't help myself and ordered the Peaches and Honey Cream from Orange Thyme the other day! Also ordered the pot of lip balm in Smoothie. I just love her stuff so much!

    1. Please let me know how both of those are! I'm constantly eyeing both flavors and would love some feedback on how they are. Orange Thyme is so addicting! I wish there were even more flavors, I don't know how she does it but her balms are just so amazing!

    2. I definetly will! I love trying other companies and shops but Rachel's balms are among the best! I probably have more than 10 of them now. :)

    3. I know, every time she has a sale I end up going crazy and buying 4 or 5 balms. The first time I ordered from her I think I ordered close to 10 or 12 balms. Yikes! I definitely don't regret it though!

    5. Ooohhh, I'll definitely need to keep an eye out for that summer sale. That's the perfect time to stock up!

    6. I got my Orange Thyme order today with the Peaches & Honey Cream balm and Smoothie pot. They are both FANTASTIC! I really love the smell of both. The Peaches & Honey Cream smells like a nice blend of soft peaches with a touch of honey. Very pleasant and soothing. Rachel also generously included two freebies for me! Earl Grey Tea and Black Current & Apple. Both of which are amazing. The Black Current &Apple is a very unique, green scent. Hard to describe, but you can definetly smell the apple and leafy notes. I believe this balm is being discontinued. I highly recommend trying her soaps as well when you get a chance. I ordered a bar of Tropical Strawberry and it smells like V8 tropical juice! Can't wait to use it! The packaging is so cute I almost don't want to open it!

    7. I will definitely keep the Peaches & Honey in mind when I order. I'm not a huge honey fan so I'm always skeptical about trying balms with honey in them. I love her Earl Grey Tea balm, it smells great! I never knew what to expect from the Black Current & Apple, it sounded so unique. She is discontinuing it, but I wonder what new things she'll be coming up with in its place! I will definitely look into trying out her soaps, I'm not a huge bar soap person (I prefer liquid body washes) but if they're anything like her balms then they must be amazing!

    8. I usually prefer liquid body washes as well but for some reason I feel cleaner with bar soap. I know it doesn't make any sense, I can't explain it either! :-)

  3. Also, I recently discovered this shop on Etsy and her balms are FANTASTIC! I'm very happy with them. Plus, Dress Green is totally vegan too, which is nice. (I'm not vegan but still prefer products that don't use animal products.) I have Coconut Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, Raspberry and Mojito. All the flavors I've tried smell so good and go on so smooth. Highly recommend.

    1. I actually had someone e-mail me a few months ago to try them out and I don't know why I haven't yet. Perhaps they'll be on my next shopping list.

Thank you so much for sharing!

    2. Her prices are very reasonable as well. 2 for $6.50 or 3 for $9.00. I haven't tried it yet but you might like a flavor she has called Mint Valley. It's spearmint and peppermint combined. Sounds refreshing!

    3. That's not bad at all! Especially for a vegan balm! I would totally love the Mint Valley, I have yet to find a mint balm I don't love. I will definitely keep that flavor in mind when I finally purchase from there.
