If you're celebrating Easter today, Happy Easter! If you're not, happy Sunday! I'm sorry today's post is so late, but better late than never right? This month seemed to go by so fast and I don't know if it's because I traveled so much this month or what, but it's pretty crazy how quickly time has been passing! I have so many favorite posts from this month, here are some of my top ones:

What were your favorite parts or posts from March?

A Look Into My Collection: Part 1

Alright, so since many of you asked me and encouraged me to continue making vlogs after my last vlog, I thought that I would try to do at least one a month. I have a bunch of ideas for vlogs, so if you don't like this one, just let me know or let me know something you'd rather see and I'll work on that! Anyway, here you go! I also apologize that it's a little long.

Ignore the really unflattering still frame.

I hope you enjoyed my newest vlog!

Balms I've Got My Eye On 3.29.13

This week has gone by way too fast for me. I mean, can you believe it's Friday already? I've been really enjoying spending time at home with my parents, my baby sister, and my puppy (who really isn't so much a puppy anymore since he's turning 8 this year). Unfortunately my pup's in pretty bad shape right now, he's got somethin' nasty in his system that the vets just can't figure out and it's making him act and look about 10 years older than he actually is. It's breaking my heart to see him in this condition. So I've been trying to spend tons of time with him and my family this week which hasn't left too much time to admire a ton of new balms, but I couldn't help but notice a few that I am eager to try.

The Gnarly Whale's Cranberry Mist
Cranberry Mist Lip Balm - Vegan .15 oz
(via)
This sounds like a really interesting lip balm flavor and definitely it's one I have yet to try! It sounds perfect for summer! **Use code SURFSUP to save 15% off your purchase through April 5th**

Ballyhoo Bath's Cherry Limeade
Cherry Limeade Lip Balm with beeswax, cocoa butter and jojoba oil
(via)
Uh, hello? Did anyone else realize Ballyhoo got a new lip balm flavor. I am definitely dying to try this one!

Canfield Crafts' Bergamot Lemongrass
Bergamot Lemongrass - Shea and Cocoa Butter Lip Balm - Mini Size
(via)
This sounds like such an interesting lip balm flavor, plus I love these little mini balms! I definitely have to get my hands on a few more of these!

What balms have you been eyeing this week?
Happy Friday!

Petite Threla Part II

Alright, so I really love Petite Threla balms. There, I said it. I think these balms are fabulous! I also have to be honest and say I forgot that this is actually my third order from Petite Threla, I totally skipped over reviewing my second order on accident. But, don't worry! That will also be posted in the future. And there will probably be tons more Petite Threla reviews in the future because I really just love these balms! Anyway, now that we got all that out of the way, here's which Petite Threla balms I picked up this time:

Company: Petite Threla

Flavors: Pomegranate, Watermelon, Blackcurrant, Choco Orange, Candy Apple, and Choco Strawberry. The Pomegranate smells amazing! It is a sweet almost candy-like scent, it really surprised me because I thought it was going to be more tart and not as bright of a scent like some of my other pomegranate balms, but this one was really amazing. The Watermelon smells like sour watermelon candy to me (why does everything smell like candy to me?). This balm is a little lighter in scent. The Blackcurrant is also a little lighter in scent, it smells faintly of a slightly sweet and tart berry. The Choco Orange smells incredible! It smells like dark chocolate combined with sweet citrus orange. I'm a sucker for a good chocolate orange balm and this one is definitely amazing! The Candy Apple smells like sweet, fresh apple coated in deliciously sugary candy. This is definitely for those of people like myself who can have the occasional sweet tooth. The Choco Strawberry smells wonderful! It's a rich chocolate scent combined with sweet, ripe strawberries. I've been lovin' chocolate covered fruit balms lately, I'm not sure why, but this one definitely hits the spot! I'm so glad TH included it in my order, seriously some of the best customer service I've had has been with this shop.

Wear: These balms go on pretty smooth, a little stickier than some of my other balms, but they do go on smooth and wonderful! They feel great on my lips, this formula is probably one of my most favorite lip balm formulas. I could put these on all day (not that I have to because you can feel these for hours on your lips!).

Packaging: I love the way these balms look. They're so simple and polished and professional looking. These balms come in your average sized lip balm tubes with white labels. The labels are designed SO beautifully. Seriously, I love the way they look. They each have the flavor of the balm written clearly on front and then there are pictures placed all over the label that depict the flavor of the balm. Seriously, everything is just so cute!

Price: $3 per tube or $8 for 3 tubes which is seriously SUCH a great deal. I am more than willing to shell out $8 to try three fabulous balms!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price, Customer Service (it's top notch!)
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. Basically, like I said, I love Petite Threla balms. I think they're wonderful and there are so many flavors to choose from! My favorite is still the Lemon Chiffon which I will probably use for the rest of my life, it's seriously such a perfect balm.

Ingredients: Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Mango Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Safflower Oil, Aloe Vera Oil, Soybean Oil, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Lecithin, Natural Flavors, Stevia

Have you tried Petite Threla balms yet? Which flavor is your favorite?

Bag Lunch

For a while now I've been seeing some balms from this shop on Etsy every now and then and I was really curious about them. I think about two months ago they were having a sale that was 50% off their lip balms so I figured, half off is a better time than any to try out some new balms, right? And that's just what I did!
Seriously, look how bright and beautiful these
balms are!

Company: Bag Lunch

Flavors: Pistachio Ice Cream, Strawberry Lime Rickey, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. The Pistachio Ice Cream is an amazing pistachio balm. It smells sweet, creamy, and a little nutty which is exactly what you want in a pistachio lip balm. The Strawberry Lime Rickey has got to be one of my most favorite lip balm flavors of all time. It smells almost like a candy like strawberry with a very mellow and refreshing lime with some extra sugar thrown in. It really is a wonderful balm sweet balm! Both of these flavors are pretty strong and obvious which is really great! However, the last balm of this order, the Pineapple Upside Down Cake is not the same. It's a very, very, very light scent; almost nonexistent to me. It's a very, very faint scent of pineapple and that's about it. I would have preferred this balm to be stronger, but that's okay, you win some and you lose some and the other two definitely won me over.

Wear: These balms are a little bit firmer than some of the other balms I'm used to, but they still go on pretty smooth even if you have to work it just a little bit more. They also go on a little bit thicker I think than some of my other balms which is really nice! One swipe on top and one on bottom and you're good to go!

Packaging: These balms come in your average sized white lip balm tubes. They each have a brightly colored label to match the flavor of the balm which makes it really easy to identify which balm you're reaching for. Each label has the flavor of the balm clearly stated on the front and the shop's name in a really cute design on it as well.

Price: $4 per tube which is just at my upper spending limit for balm, but I've found that they often have sales where you can get their balms for less than that.

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons: Pineapple Upside Down Cake could be a little stronger

Rating: 4 out of 5 twists, I really did enjoy these balms and definitely plan on buying a few more in the future. There are just so many interesting flavors they have in their shop, it's hard to not want to try them all!

Ingredients: Castor seed oil, Cetearyl alcohol, Olive Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Beeswax, Carnauba Wax, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Candelilla Wax, Flavor

Have you tried Bag Lunch balms yet? What did you think of them?

Also, right now you can use code "Vacation" to save 50% off your purchase from Bag Lunch from now until April 4th! Happy Shopping!

Haul of the Week 3.27.13

I think this has to be my smallest haul ever. I've been trying to be really good! I have a couple things that are coming this week, but because I'm in Chicago this week, they won't be posted until next week. So I hope you all enjoy my super mini haul this week!

Each of these balms smells amazing! I definitely took advantage of the Buy 2, Get 1 Free sale last week.

What balms did you get this week?

Happy Wednesday!

Aqua Blossom's St. Patty's Day Flavors

Okay, I know this is super behind since March is almost over and St. Patty's Day was a few weekends ago, but hey that doesn't mean I can't just review them now right? It's still March and green and minty things are very much still in the air, at least it feels that way for me, plus I love these two balms so I really don't need an excuse for why this review is posted when it is! (Okay, I slept 3 hours last night and some of these words sound really great in my head, but please forgive me if it sounds snarky and nonsensical. =))

Company: Aqua Blossom

Flavors: Irish Cream and Creme de Menthe. Since I've never had irish cream before, it's so hard for me to figure out what this smells like. The Irish Cream smells slightly of sweet cream. I don't know how else to describe it! It smells wonderful and I really like it, I just can't put in words what it smells like! The Creme de Menthe on the other hand is definitely something I can describe! It smells just like Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies! It smells like cool and refreshing mint with a little bit of chocolate, yum!

Wear: These balms go on smooth and creamy, just like all my other Aqua Blossom balms. They leave my lips feeling moisturized and a little bit glossy.

Packaging: These tubes look so festive! Both balms come in oval tubes with green and white St. Patty's Day themed labels. I love when things are festive! I always love the simple and super polished look of Aqua Blossom balms, they're just so pleasant to look at!

Price: $3.75 per tube which is definitely the right price I want to pay for a great balm!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price, Bonus points for being so festive!
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists, these limited edition St. Patty's Day balms are amazing! Grab them while you can!

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Candelilla Wax, Coconut Oil, Kokum Butter, Soybean Oil, Essential and/or Lip-safe Fragrance (flavor) Oil, Vitamin E Oil

Have you snatched up these limited edition St. Patty's Day balms from Aqua Blossom yet?

The Lip Balm Queen

Okay, so by now you probably know about my slight ForGoodnessGrape obsession, right? Since I love Lisa's ForGoodnessGrape balms, it'd only be natural that I'd be curious about Lisa's other balm lines. Lisa was so nice to include a tube of balm from her new shop The Lip Balm Queen in one of my previous orders, and I'm finally here to share with you the wonderful experience I had with this balm!

Company: The Lip Balm Queen (same link as her ForGoodnessGrape site, so that was intentional!)

Flavor: Lisa sent me a plain tube so that I could concentrate more on how wonderful this formula is on my lips! So the flavor of this tube is a nice unscented balm, for those of you who love unscented balms, this formula may be one you want to try!

Wear: Okay so let me say this, right now my lips are terribly chapped because I've somehow forgotten to drink water today. I've had about maybe a cup or two of actual water today, which is really unusual for me since I'm usually drinking 8 cups or more a day.So my lips are lacking moisture today, but holy cow, one swipe on top and bottom of this and my lips feel instantly better. And today my lips were SUPER chapped. This formula feels amazing! It melted right into my lips and went to work on healing the chapped-ness. This went on so creamy and luxuriously, seriously, amazing.

Packaging: This balm came in an oval tube with a light purple label that had a famous quote on it. This specific one was a quote by Hellen Keller that reads "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing". Pretty inspirational if you ask me!

Price: $4.50 to $5 per tube which is pretty reasonable for how wonderfully this balm goes on.

Overall
Pros: Flavor, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. This formula works wonders on my lips!

Ingredients: Chamomile Butter, Macadamia Nut Butter, Kokum Butter, Beeswax, Sweet Almond Oil, Rosehip Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Argan Oil, Vitamin E, Flavors and/or Essential Oils.

Have you tried any balms from The Lip Balm Queen yet?

This balm was provided complimentary to me by Lisa at ForGoodnessGrape/TheLipBalmQueen however all opinions are strictly my own. Thank you, Lisa, for letting me try out this amazing balm!

Mini Monday 3.25.13

Today is going to be a loonnggg day for me. Waking up at 3:30AM to leave for the airport at 4AM, flying back to Chicago, and spending the day with my family is going to leave me feeling super tired. It'll be worth it though! I love when I get to go home and see my family. Anyway, I hope you all will be having a more laid back Monday than I will, even though it is Monday and the weekend is over. Maybe this Mini Monday will make your day just a little bit better.

Orange Thyme's Huckleberry

Well, I've never had a huckleberry balm before and I'm not sure what it's supposed to smell like, but this balm smells delicious! It smells like very sweet and ripe berries. It seriously smells incredible. I feel like there's a note of something else that's really fruity, but this is seriously a great balm to turn to when the weather gets warmer!

The Simple Siren's Coconut Cream
This balm smells of super warm and tropical coconut with rich vanilla. The scent is a very mellow scent and kind of warms me up from the inside just by smelling it!

Epically Epic's Coconut Vanilla
Okay, I've only tried a few coconut and vanilla balms before (apparently today is a very vanilla coconut day), and this one is definitely my favorite! This has the bright tropical scent of coconut combined with a calming vanilla.

I hope you enjoyed this week's Mini Monday!
Happy Monday, everyone!

Balms of the Week 3.24.13

I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday! I leave for Chicago tomorrow morning super early to spend my baby sister's Spring Break with her, so today I'm going to be super, super busy. Today I plan to go for a morning run (I'm not a runner, but I've been trying to run outside every day because one of my goals for this year is to run a 5K), get ready for the day, shoot my next vlog, edit that vlog, pack, and spend the rest of the day with Rob before I leave him for 5 days on his own. When I left him alone two weeks ago, our apartment looked like I had never even lived here before, it took me two days to straighten up the whole place! Ugh! Anyway, here are the balms that have been keeping me company through all the craziness that's been going on lately:

Epically Epic's White Chocolate Mocha
When I opened this tube and sniffed it for the first time, the first thing I said was "Oh my goooddddd, yummmm". Seriously, I tried to make putting it on take as long as possible so I could keep sniffing it.

ForGoodnessGrape's Cream Soda
A couple of old FGG favorites came back this week, I hate when I forget how amazing old favorite flavors are!

Epically Epic's Strawberry Cantaloupe

Symbolic Imports' Salted Caramel
I didn't know if I'd be a fan of this salted caramel balm, since I'm not a huge salted caramel/regular caramel person, but this balm is totally amazing.

ForGoodnessGrape's Banana Buttercream

Epically Epic's Guava Passionfruit Margarita

What have you been using this week? Have you reunited with any old favorites?

Tracey Gurley Bath and Body's White Chocolate Raspberry

ForGoodnessGrape Part VI

This is probably one of the biggest orders I've ever made from ForGoodnessGrape. I had never ordered more than 7 balms before, but during Lisa's big Black Friday sale, I just had to order 10. That's when she had her 10 balm bundle and I just couldn't help myself! Don't worry, they weren't ALL for me...I did order one for my sister as well as a lip scrub for her.

Company: ForGoodnessGrape

Flavors: Pomegranate Martini, Conundrum, Pistachio Ice Cream, Key Lime Pie, Banana Buttercream, Orange Chocolate Truffle, Cream Soda, Butterbeer, Chocolate Coconut, Cardamom Vanilla, and Tequila Sunrise. Okay, get ready, this might be kind of long! Hang in there! First of all, the Pomegranate Martini was for my sister and that's why it's not included in the photo above. I think it smells tart and sweet like pomegranate, but my sister thinks it smells more like grapes. I was very curious about Lisa's Conundrum balm and I always take a gamble on mystery balms, so I knew I had to have it. But, unfortunately, I have no idea what this balm smells like! I kind of want to say it smells like bacon or something, but I don't think that's right. This one is still quite a conundrum for me! The Pistachio Ice Cream smells incredible! It's very sweet and nutty and smells just wonderful! The Key Lime Pie makes me crave a slice of key lime pie. Seriously, this smells of tart and tangy lime and sweet cream. Key Lime Pie is probably my favorite dessert, and this balm is definitely just like it! As most of you should know by now, the Banana Buttercream is probably one of my most favorite flavors from ForGoodnessGrape. Seriously, it's amazing. If you haven't tried it yet, you need to! It smells of sweet bananas and cream, it is so lovely! Seriously, go try this and report back to me what you think! The Orange Chocolate Truffle is another absolutely yummy flavor from FGG. It smells of rich chocolate, possibly dark chocolate because it doesn't smell as sweet as milk chocolate, and a hint of sweet, citrusy orange. It's divine! My next absolute favorite flavor from FGG is Lisa's Cream Soda. I don't think very many things smell better than this balm. It smells just like my favorite cream soda lollipop! It's vanilla-y and creamy and soda-y. Yes I know, this is such a bad way to describe a vanilla cream soda balm, but it's true! If you like cream soda, you're going to LOVE this balm. Ever since I had Butterbeer at Harry Potter world at Universal Studios Orlando, I've been trying to find a balm that's exactly like it. I still haven't found it, but this balm is pretty darn close. It smells like a combination of butterscotch and rootbeer. It's such an interesting combination! The Chocolate Coconut smells of sweet, rich chocolate and warm tropical coconut. It reminds me of an Almond Joy bar, minus the almonds! The Cardamom Vanilla is so lovely! It smells of rich, warm vanilla and a little bit of spice, which I'm assuming is the cardamom. It's not a crazy overbearing scent, which makes this balm even more lovely! With this order, Lisa also included a Tequila Sunrise balm. I've never had a Tequila Sunrise before, although now I think I might. It smells of oranges and sweetness with a little bit of something else. It's probably one of my favorite balms!

Wear: These all go on sooo smooth and creamy. They glide right on and make my lips feel so lovely! These balms cover evenly and with only a few swipes, you're good to go!

Packaging: These balms come in your average sized lip balm tubes. The labels have the name of the flavor right on front which makes it easy to tell which balm you're using. The labels also have colored panels that are designed to match the flavor of the balm, so each one is different!

Price: $3.50 to $4.75 which is pretty much in my spending limit comfort zone, but the balms that reach the higher limit are Lisa's lip essentials. Most FGG balms are around $3.50 to $4 which is definitely in my price range.

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. I really love ForGoodnessGrape balms! There are just so many flavors to choose from and apparently, I'm attempting to try them all!

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax, Jojoba oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Vitamin E, Fragrance

Which ForGoodnessGrape balm is your favorite? Or which ones are you dying to try?

**Don't forget to enter my giveaway for the new Spring flavors from Softlips here!**

Ripe Shop Part II

After my first order from Ripe Shop, I knew these were some balms I definitely wanted more of. So, naturally of course, I got my hands on some more. As you should know by now, when I find a shop whose balms interest me, I always have to try tons of flavors. You know, for comparison, usually... Anyway, let's get to it!

Company: Ripe Shop

Flavors: Root Beer, Coco Piña, and Salted Caramel. The Root Beer smells exactly like root beer should! It smells so good it makes me actually want to drink some root beer, so you know it must be good since I don't like root beer! Root beer lovers will love this balm. The Coco Piña is so wonderful. It's actually a nice change from some of my other piña colada balms because in this balm the pineapple is stronger than the coconut which I actually really like! Sometimes piña colada balms have so much coconut in them that you can't tell there's any pineapple at all, but not this one. It's a beautiful rendition of one of my favorite lip balm flavors. I've never had salted caramel before, and I only kind of, sometimes like caramel itself. But, I was very interested in trying this balm, so I did! This Salted Caramel balm is definitely a sweet caramel scent; some slightly burnt sugar with a little bit of saltiness.

Wear: These balms go on nice and smooth. They glide right onto my lips and a little goes a long way. You only need about one swipe on top and bottom and you're good to go. They also leave my lips a little bit shiny, but still provide great protection for my lips.

Packaging: These balms have very simple packaging. They come in oval tubes with white labels, the white labels have black fonts and the flavor of each balm is stated right on front. The packaging is very simple and straightforward.

Price: $4 per tube which I'm definitely willing to pay for one of these balms.

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 twists. These balms really are pretty great. I love all the flavor options you can find in the shop, and there are definitely more I have my eye on!

Ingredients: Sweet almond oil, coconut oil, beeswax, avocado oil, cocoa & shea butters, vitamin E, flavor

Have you tried Ripe Shop balms before? Which flavors are your favorite?

Haul of the Week 3.20.13

I've been trying to cut back on the lip balm buying lately and I'm pretty proud of myself at being able to hold back a lot this month, so I'm definitely going to try to keep it up! I've got tons and tons of balms that have been pushed to the back burners because of all the new ones coming in, so it's been really nice to use some other balms that didn't get a ton of attention before. Anyway, here are the lovely lip lovelies I received this week:

Nicole and Aaron were so generous and sent me three of their *NEW* lip jellies to sample! Thank you!

As you may know by now, this was this month's lip balm of the month, yay! Find the review here.

Orange Thyme
I've been dying to try the Paradise Punch and ordered one of my favorites (coconut lemongrass) for a family friend going through chemo. Rachel also included a French Vanilla balm in my order, thank you!

The limited edition balm Allison has been cranking out have been amazing! I have to have them all! Yes, I love EE balms that much! Allison included a Peanut Butter & Jelly balm in my order as well, thank you!

What did you receive this week? Did anything blow your mind?

The Gnarly Whale Part II

After my last Gnarly Whale review, Ashley and Nathan, were so generous to send me three new balms to try!

Company: The Gnarly Whale

Flavors: Coconut, Lemon, and Banana. The Coconut is a light, warm tropical scent. It's not a crazy, punch-you-in-your-face scent so for those of you who like lighter scents, this is definitely one for you to try! The Lemon smells incredible! It's a very sweet and distinct lemony scent. You all know how much I love lemon anything, so this one was definitely a winner in my book! The Banana is another lovely balm. It smells like sweet, ripe, bananas. It's a little on the lighter side of scents, but still very lovely. A little while ago I was on a huge banana balm kick and this one was definitely a great balm to have for that.

Wear: The way these balms go on always throws me off, and it's mostly just because I can never remember. Okay, let me make that a little less confusing for you. When I first touch one of these balms to my lips, my mind thinks that it's a firmer balm, which makes me smoosh the tube into my lips and go over and over and over my lips. And then after like, my third time around, my mind is like "What the heck? Why did you put on SO much balm?!" So basically, my mind associates these balms with firmer balms which leads to me putting on way, way too much! These balms feel firmer, but they go on SUPER smooth and creamy. Like seriously, they sink right into my lips and provide a protective layer on top. And a little goes a LONG way with these guys! Don't overdo it like me!

Packaging: These balms come in your average sized black lip balm tubes. I know my last issue with the packaging of these balms was that the labels just didn't stick on and had to keep getting pressed down, only for them to pop up again. I'm happy to report that that issue has been resolved! The labels now stick beautifully to the tubes. I love the way these labels are designed, I love the chosen fonts and color scheme.

Price: $3.50 per tube which is definitely worth it!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 twists. I really do enjoy these balms! The formula feels wonderful and the scents are always lovely! I saw that a some more flavors may be popping up soon, and I'm excited to try those! Like, really excited folks. You know I love shops that offer tons of different flavors to choose from. That always means there's a favorite for everyone. So go grab yourself a couple Gnarly Whale balms and give them a try!

Ingredients: Candelilla wax, mango butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, vitamin e, grapefruit seed extract, flavor

Have you tried Gnarly Whale balms yet? What did you think of them?
------------------------
These balms were provided complimentary to me from Ashley and Nathan at The Gnarly Whale, however, all opinions are strictly my own. Thank you, Ashley and Nathan, for being so generous and sending me these lovely balms to try!

Long Winter Farm's Irish Cream

I know I'm bumping this balm up past a few others from LWF and other shops, but I figured this would be a balm you guys would like to see in March! I know it's a little too late to have this balm for St. Patty's Day, but that doesn't mean you can't use this balm all year round!

Company: Long Winter Farm

Flavor: Irish Cream. I've actually never had Irish Cream before, but I wanted to try this balm anyway. This balm smells so creamy and lightly of chocolate. Rob says it smells just like Irish Cream should, he'd know better than I do!

Wear: Like all my other LWF balms, this one goes on soooo smooth and creamy. It glides right on and covers beautifully. The balm melts right into my lips, leaving them feeling soft and moisturized.

Packaging: This comes in those oval shaped tubes that we all know and love. The label has the flavor of the balm stated right on front and there are two sets of two colored bands on each side of the label. This label is simple, sophisticated, and pleasing to the eye.

Price: $4 per tube which is definitely worth it for a LWF balm.

Overall
Pros: Flavor, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. Another wonderful balm from Long Winter Farm has joined my collection. I would definitely recommend this balm if you're at all curious about it!

Ingredients: Natural Beeswax, Sweet Almond, Grapeseed & Jojoba Oils, Cocoa & Unrefined Shea Butters, Vitamin E, Flavor Oil

Mini Monday 3.18.13

I'm sorry this post is so late today! I was super busy yesterday and was so exhausted last night I went to bed early without writing this post! So please accept my apologies. I hope you all had a wonderful St. Patty's Day weekend. For some reason I really like St. Patrick's Day. No, I'm not Irish, I don't really drink (didn't have a drop this weekend), I don't go to any parade or festivity. But, every year I make sure to wear green and some years everything I wear is green! Anyway, I've already made you wait long enough, here's this week's Mini Monday.

ForGoodnessGrape's Lemon Meringue Pie
This is a really great, sweet and lemony balm! I love basically anything with lemon, so obviously I was going to love this balm.

Ripe Shop's Red Velvet
This balm has a light chocolatey and creamy scent. I've been really into Red Velvet balms lately, or at least I keep looking at them!

Live Beautifully's Pistachio Ice Cream
This lip jelly smells sweet and nutty, but a little less sweet than some of my other pistachio ice cream lip balms. But, it definitely smells like pistachios!

Happy Monday, everyone!

Balms of the Week 3.17.13

This week I've been using some really good balms! I may not be using a lot of balms this week, but the ones I have been using are seriously some of the best I've ever used. I seriously have been having the best luck with balms lately. I love everything I've received and everything I've been using. I'm just so happy with everything! Here's what's been making my lips super happy this week:

Epically Epic's Blueberry Peach
These LE balms still can't be beat! I can't stop using them, they're so good!

Epically Epic's Orange Mango

Epically Epic's Mint Chocolate Espresso

Nivea's Vanilla & Macadamia
This is seriously one of my new most favorite products to use. I keep all of them right next to my bed, but this is the one I'm constantly reaching for!

Live Beautifully's Lavender Lemon Cake
Yes, that's right, I've actually found myself using a floral balm this week.

What have you been using this week? Anything new and amazing?
Have a wonderfully relaxing Sunday!

Country Blossom Balm of the Month: March 2013

I'm always so excited whenever I get this little package each month. I really love both of my lip balm subscriptions and I think they really are a great way to try balms I may have never tried if not for these lip balm of the month clubs. This is another flavor I probably wouldn't have tried on my own.

Company: Country Blossom

Flavor: Marshmallow Peep. I have to be honest here, I've never had a Marshmallow Peep, ever. They always just look so strange and toy-like that I just never thought it was something you could actually eat. Even when I was a little kid, I stayed away from peeps. I don't even think my mom ever bought any. So I really didn't know what to expect of this balm. I thought maybe sugary sweetness, like uh...a marshmallow? But what I really smell in this balm is a chocolate scent. The balm has a subtle sweetness, but I definitely smell chocolate. And I really like it! I think this balm smells fantastic. Maybe I'm just not smelling the right thing?

Wear: Okay, I love the way this balm feels. Seriously, Country Blossom balms always make me want to continuously smear this stuff on my face...er..lips. It goes on soooo smooth and creamy, and makes my lips feel luscious and moisturized! Seriously, my lips feel so soft and I just love the consistency of this balm.

Packaging: This balm comes in your average sized lip balm tube with a white label. The label has a giant yellow flower with the name of the shop on it and right below that is the flavor of the balm with a picture of a yellow marshmallow peep right next to it! How festive!

Price: $3 a tube which is a great deal for one of Megan's balms!

Overall
Pros: Flavor (although maybe that's not what a peep smells like?), Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists, this is probably one of my favorite balms from Country Blossom. I'm not sure if it smells exactly like a Marshmallow Peep since I've never had one, but I think this chocolate scent I'm pickin' up is so good! I like it a lot!

Ingredients: Beeswax, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Flavoring Oil

Have you tried this balm before? Or any Country Blossom balms? Which ones are your favorites?

Balms I've Got My Eye On 3.15.13

I don't know if you all have noticed or not, but I've been cutting back a LOT this month on my balm buying. My wallet (and my boyfriend) are a lot happier! Although I've been trying to cut back, it doesn't mean I can't still look, right? So obviously I've been keeping my eye on all the new products my favorite shops have been making lately, and (so far) I've successfully held back. We'll see how much longer this lasts haha. Here's what I've been admiring this week:

Live Beautifully's Bavarian Apple Cream
All Natural - Bavarian Apple Cream - Lip Balm Jelly - Tangy Apples with Cream
(via)
This new lip jelly flavor sounds really amazing, my mouth is watering just at the description!

The Simple Siren's Lime Coconut
Organic Lip Balm - Lime Coconut - Handmade with Coconut & Lime
(via)
I'm definitely in the mood for more summer-like flavors as the weather keeps warming up, this one sounds amazing.

Ripe Shop's Mexican Horchata
Mexican Horchata Lip Balm - Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, Beeswax
(via)
I have loved all of my hochata balms from other shops, and I definitely want to try this one too!

What balms have you been eyeing lately? Are you starting to shift towards more summery flavors?
Happy Friday!
