Tom Jack's

So I've been trying to branch out to new and different lip balm companies, this is one of the first ones that caught my eye. I've had them for a while now and I'm so excited to tell you about them!

Company: Tom Jack's

Flavors: Citrus, Cocoa Mint, and Birch Beer. The Citrus smells like a bright combination of lemon and lime in my opinion. I thought it would be more like orange, but I actually like this combination of scents! It has a sweet, slightly sour scent and it's just wonderful! The first scent I get when I smell the Cocoa Mint is cool, tingly peppermint; it's so refreshing! Then there's a lovely scent of milk chocolate. It's a pretty refreshing take on a mint chocolate balm since the mint is the first thing I smell. I've never tried a Birch Beer balm before (or birch beer for that matter), but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It reminds me of when I was in band and the lubricant we used on some of our instruments (I played clarinet). I actually liked the scent of that so this is wonderful! Rob thinks this smells like winter/spearmint. I can't say if this smells like real birch beer or not, but this does smell good!

Wear: The Citrus and Cocoa Mint come in tins and I feel like I have to dip into the tin multiple times to get enough product onto my lips, so the consistency may be a little thin out of the tin. The Birch Beer came in a tube and it goes on smooth and even, the consistency is a little thin, but I don't feel like I need to put more on.

Packaging: Like I said, two of these come in tins and one came in a tube. The design is kind of upscale, but rustic at the same time...if that makes sense. I like that it looks like something you'd find in an apothecary of sorts.

Price: The tins are $3.50 and the tubes are $2.25, both prices are definitely reasonable!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 4 out of 5 twists. These balms were pretty good! I keep one tin in my makeup bag at all times to wear under lipstick. I was glad I was able to try balms from a shop I've never tried before!

Ingredients:
Cocoa Mint-Cocoa Butter, Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Chocolate, Essential Oil
Citrus and Birch Beer-Beeswax, Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Essential Oil

Have you tried Tom Jack's balms before? What did you think of them?

ChapStick: Spring 2014 Flavors!

Hi everyone! Who's ready for a real review? I'm sorry I've been slacking yet again this week. I've been meaning to blog each day, but Rob's working on a super awesome game right now and he's pretty much had the computer all day, every day. My computer is still out of commission, so right now we're just sharing the one. Anyway...ChapStick® sent me these balms about two weeks ago and I've been dying to tell you about them! I've been using them on a daily basis!

Company: ChapStick®

Flavors: Citrus Jelly Bean and Pomegranate Gumdrop. The Citrus Jelly Bean smells of bright, sweet oranges. It most definitely reminds me of an orange jelly bean! If you're a citrus fan, this is one I'd definitely recommend. The Pomegranate Gumdrop smells of tart, yet sweet pomegranate candy. I really do feel like I'm taking a whiff of a chewy, gumdrop candy. I don't know how they do it, but each scent smells exactly like you think it would! Even down to what the consistency of the candy would smell like, do you know what I mean?

Wear: These go on nice and smooth, like your usual ChapStick® balms. They have a pretty great consistency, just enough goes on that you don't feel like your mouth is slathered in product, but at the same time doesn't leave you with the need to put more on (unless you want to of course!). They hold up pretty well through eating and drinking, I usually can get a good 1-2 hours out of one application.

Packaging: These come in your average sized lip balm tubes with labels that are colored to match the flavor of the balm (pink for Pomegranate Gumdrop and orange for Citrus Jelly Bean).

Price: These range in price depending on where you pick your's up at, anywhere between $0.99 and $2.18 which is a steal either way!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 twists, these balms are absolutely wonderful! I've always been a ChapStick® fan and I probably always will be. I always get super excited to find new flavors from an old favorite, and these ones definitely didn't disappoint!

Have you tried these new flavors from ChapStick yet? What did you think of them?

Balms of the Week 3.2.14

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you've all been having a lovely week! I'm so sorry for being so MIA the last two weeks, work has been super hectic so I've had to stay overtime almost every day. After working 10-12 hours a day, I'm usually too tired to do much of anything after work other than eat dinner and go to sleep. Some days I'm too tired to even make my lunch for the next day! Don't worry though, I'm not letting this blog die! Anyway, I want to share with you guys the balms I've been using lately!

Epically Epic's Orange Mango

Softlips' Mint

Tom Jack's Citrus

Tom Jack's Cocoa Mint

Tom Jack's Birch Beer

What balms have you been using this week? Anything new you'd recommend?
Have a wonderful day!

[My] Eco Lips

Hi everyone! I've finally got a lip balm review for you guys! I know it's been a while, but I have had barely any new lip balms to tell you guys about or review. I'm trying to listen to what you guys were asking for, like reviews on new shops and not the same ones so I'm trying to space out reviews on new shops and reviews on old favorites. Anyway, I've had this balm on me since about October/November, so I figured it was about time that I shared it with you guys!

Company: Eco Lips

Flavor: Since this was a [My] Eco Lips concoction, I was able to pick everything that went into the formula as well as the flavor, flavor strength, and whether it was sweetened or unsweetened. I chose Mango Lime as my flavor. It is definitely heavy on the lime! I love it! It has a slight undertone of tropical mango, but not much. When you give this balm a whiff you can definitely tell it's a combination of something with lime. I think the next time I make a [My] Eco Lips concoction I will make it just mango to see how that is!

Wear: This goes on so creamy, yet firm and also slightly glossy. My lips definitely feel hydrated and protected when I wear this. I honestly can't think of a balm this reminds me of, consistency wise.

Packaging: I was also able to customize the packaging, since they offer this to so many people, obviously the customization will be limited in some regards. For example, the label designs are very simple, nothing flashy you'd see on a mass produced lip balm or handmade lip balm since each tube (unless more are ordered of one flavor) is made to order. That being said, I was still able to pick the tube color, cap color, label color, text color, and the text for the tube. Pretty customizable!

Price: One custom balm will cost $6.99 which isn't too bad for a totally custom balm, the more you order of your one balm the lower the cost is. For example, 2-5 balms will cost you $5.99 each, 6-10 tubes is $4.99 per tube, 11-20 tubes is $3.99 per tube, 21+ tubes makes each tube $2.99. These would be great for an event or as party favors! I should note that these are the prices if you don't add any super premium extra ingredients to your balm.

Overall
Pros: Flavor, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. I've definitely never tried making my own lip balms, but this was certainly close! I was really excited to choose everything in my balm and had such a good experience doing it! The process is super simple and straightforward. I'd definitely recommend trying out [My] Eco Lips for yourself!

Ingredients: Here is the link to my exact [My] Eco Lips balm, you can see the ingredients as well as order a tube of it yourself if you'd like to give it a try!

Have you tried making your own balms with [My] Eco Lips before? How did your's turn out?

Birchbox: January 2014

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely (long) weekend! Rob just bought a new MacBook Pro so hopefully I'll be able to get more posts up for you from a reliable computer! (If we're not fighting over who gets to use it next haha). Anyway, I've had my January Birchbox for just about forever and wanted to really use the products enough to give you my opinion on them.

Products in this month's Birchbox: Whish Three Whishes Body Butter in Pomegranate, Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk, 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Mascara in Black Tea, Paula's Choice RESIST C15 Super Booster, and Ahmad Teas Assorted Teas.

Whish Three Whishes Body Butter in Pomegranate: I really love these little lotion samples I keep getting in my boxes. They're a great size for my purse. This one has a sweet, fruity scent and makes my hands feel wonderful! The body butter really sinks into my hands and really moisturizes my fingers. A full size bottle of this costs $24 which is a bit out of my price range for a body butter/lotion.

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk: This stuff is super easy to use and doesn't have too much of a chemical smell. I feel like it soaks up some oil from my second day hair, but I usually don't think it's enough to leave my hair down so I often just tie up my hair after. It still works pretty well, but I don't really need a dry shampoo in my lineup of products at this time. This is a product I may toss into my gym bag or travel bag. A full size of this costs $19.50, I'm not sure what competitor's prices of similar products are for this since I don't use dry shampoos so I don't really know if that's a good price or not.

100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Mascara in Black Tea: I really like using this stuff! It gives my lashes length that looks natural and it's super lightweight. This is definitely an every day mascara for me, I'd use something bolder like Benefit's They're Real! for a night out. I really love the way it makes my lashes look and the brush works really well. I also like that it's pigmented with natural stuff, this one is pigmented with Black Tea. This product is all natural and organic! A full size of this is $18 and I definitely plan on buying a tube of this once I run out of my current stash of mascara.

Paula's Choice RESIST C15 Super Booster: I had never used a product like this before, totally unchartered territory for me. I wanted to make sure I used this for a few weeks before I gave my verdict. I've been using it 1-2 times a day every day and I don't know if I see much of a difference because I don't have fine lines and I didn't notice a huge change in my acne marks. I still continue to use it though, I like the way it makes my skin feels! This isn't supposed to have a scent, and for the first few uses it didn't, but then I started to notice a tiny scent that kind of made me feel nauseas. I try to avoid putting it anywhere near my nose now because it just didn't sit well with me. All in all, I am considering purchasing a full size of this product although it's definitely something out of my price range. A full size of this is $45. But, I think it would last me a while.

Ahmad Assorted Teas: These teas came at a super perfect time, I've been drinking tea 2-4 times a day. So much so that we went out and bought a few more mugs because I was going through them so quickly. These have super wonderful scents which made me really excited to taste them, after they cooled down of course. The flavors of the tea were a little bit of a let down after smelling the amazing aroma coming off of them, I thought the teas would be more flavorful, but alas they are still just tea so the flavor isn't super strong. These teas were pretty good, but I currently have a cabinet full of tea so I won't be purchasing these (at least not until I run out of my supply, then maybe I'll consider purchasing them).

Overall this box was pretty good, I wasn't as excited about it as previous boxes, but I did use all of them and plan on purchasing some of them in the future. I don't know if this one was worth the $10 I paid for it, but not all boxes are going to be winners!

Balms of the Week 2.15.14

Happy belated Valentine's Day everyone! I'm SO sorry for my absence this week. I started my new job on Monday and I've been crazy busy and trying to adjust to my work schedule. I haven't been able to do anything fun this week except go to Target one night because Rob broke his belt. Yes...the highlight of my week was going to Target for 30 minutes. Anyway, I think I've just about figured out my work schedule and how to fit in other things besides coming home eating and then getting ready for bed. I'm going to try to start making most of the week's posts on the weekends so that I don't have to work on them too much during the week when my time is limited. Anyway, woohoo on my first big girl job, boo on neglecting you guys and this blog. I know I usually post this on Sunday's, but I figured I'd do it now since I've got a little bit of time before I finally get to a yoga class this week! Here are the balms I've been using this week:

ForGoodnessGrape's Pomegrante Orange

Ecolips' Roseberry

Epically Epic's Orange Mango

Kiehl's Mango

Balms of the Week 2.9.14

Happy Sunday, everyone! I haven't been using as many different balms this week as I usually do, mostly because I've been wearing the same coat every day that only has one lip balm in it. I did find some new balms this week that I've been using a bit.

Eco Lips' Roseberry

Crazy Rumors' Pistachio

Ripe Shop's Matcha Green Tea

Balms I've Got My Eye On 2.7.14

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you've been having a wonderful week! This week I really took time to do whatever I wanted since I start work next Monday. I haven't worked in over a year and have gotten pretty used to being able to do whatever I want when I want (except maybe when I was studying for the MCAT and GRE for 6 months), so I was trying to take advantage of that this week. I'm already dreaming of what I'm going to spend my first *big girl* paycheck on and some of these balms may just be what I spend it on:

Ripe Shop's Indigo Berry
(via)
Uh, okay have you seen the amazing balms that Adriana has been coming up with lately? There are so many ones I've got my eye on!

Epically Epic's Odile Lip Tint
Odile - All Natural Vegan Lip Tint

Have you seen Allison's new lip tints? They all look amazing! Plus, I love those oval tubes!

Balms of the Week 2.4.14

Hi all! I'm so sorry for not posting the last few days. We found out on Wednesday that I'll be starting my new job next Monday, we found out on Thursday Rob is getting laid off, on Friday we had our friend coming in from Chicago to spend the weekend (she just left yesterday), so a lot has been going on and blogging kind of had to sit on the back burner a little bit. I'm also sorry today isn't a review, I haven't had a chance to go through everything and plan this month's schedule. I'm going to get up to speed this week though, so don't worry! Anyway, I really wanted to share with you guys the balms I've been using the last week, so I hope you enjoy!

Wrangler's Monthly Wrap Up: January 2014

Happy Friday, everyone! Can you believe that January is over today? I certainly cannot! This month went by super fast. I hope this year goes by a little slower than last year's year went, last year flew by so so so fast. How are you guys doing on your first month of your resolutions/goals for the year? Rob and I kicked this month's butt! We're hoping to maintain our momentum in the next month and the rest of the year! Anyway, as I do every month, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite posts from the last month. I hope you enjoy!

(via)

As for my personal goals for the year, some of them were: go to the gym 4 times a week, go to yoga at least once a week, try at least one new restaurant each month, try at least one new recipe per week, and try something out of my comfort zone. I surpassed my own expectations for these goals! Most weeks I've been to the gym 5-7 times a week, I'm currently doing a 30 day hot yoga challenge, I started doing Krav Maga (out of my comfort zone), we've tried about 10 new restaurants this month, and about 15 new recipes. I'm determined to make this year my year! What were some of your goals? How are you doing on them?

What were some of your favorite parts of January?
Have a wonderful day!

Rooted Beauty Part II

Hi everyone! Today's post is kind of a continuation of my last Rooted Beauty review. I've been really loving their lip balms, but their other products are to die for! I couldn't wait to tell you about them! I apologize about the abundance of facial product reviews this week, but I use them almost more than I use lip balm, so it was just kind of natural for me to start writing about them!

Company: Rooted Beauty

Products: Facial Wipes, Facial Moisturizer, and  Facial Cleanser. I love the scent of these Facial Wipes! They're scented in Raspberry Citrus and it is just such an invigorating scent. It's so bright and fruity and just has the most wonderful scent. The Facial Moisturizer and Facial Cleanser are both scented in Mango Passion and they smell just as lovely as the facial wipes! They have a tropical, fruity yet light scent.Seriously these products just have the most fantastic scents!

Wear: The Facial Wipes are probably the most moist facial wipes I've ever used, they're really wet and sometimes have little bubbles on them that reminds me of soap. But they're also the BEST facial wipes I've ever used (and I've used a TON in addition to different makeup removers). Of course they make my face feel fresh and clean, but they also remove all of my makeup! Even stubborn mascara and liquid eye liner. This stuff is amazing. It's the only makeup remover/facial wipe I'll use now when I wear makeup. The Facial Cleanser feels great and does a good job at cleaning my face (is that weird to say?). I use it almost every day, so it's pretty gentle to use that often. I often go for runs, attend hot yoga classes, and spend lots of time in the gym so I find myself having to wash my face more often because of all the sweat. Even the days I use this cleanser twice, my skin holds up and feels great. Not too dry or damaging. If I'm using this cleanser earlier in the day I tend to follow it up with the Facial Moisturizer because it's pretty lightweight, I save my heavy (or heavier) duty stuff for nighttime. When the moisturizer is absorbing it kind of makes my face feel stiff and dry, but then my face feels nice and soft the rest of the day. The moisturizer is made with Thanaka which is something I actually grew up with because my grandma uses it constantly on her face. Thanaka is kind of a Burmese beauty secret, it's made into a paste and left to dry on your face (which is why I think the moisturizer feels like it's dry and stiff for a little while). Lots of the older women in my family use it and have been using it since they were young! (I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I'm Burmese and no one ever knows what that is so it was really neat for me to see something from my culture used in a mainstream product!).

Packaging: The Facial Wipes come in the usual industry standard type packaging, a peel and seal package. The Facial Cleanser also comes in a pretty usual squeeze tube. The Facial Moisturizer comes in a small pump bottle with a cap. Each one has brightly designed packaging with colors that are super eye catching. The packaging is really just lovely.

Price: You can get all three of these in a set for $26.99 or buy them each separately. Separately the Facial Wipes are $6.99, Facial Cleanser is $9.99, and Facial Moisturizer is $14.99. Each price seems pretty reasonable, especially since these will last a while! (Maybe not the Facial Wipes if you wear make up frequently, there are only 25 in each package.)

Overall
Pros: Each Product, Packaging, Price, Wear
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. I love these Rooted Beauty products, I think I even like the facial products more than the lip balms! If any of these interest you at all, I'd definitely recommend you try them! Plus, a portion of each product sold goes to support a woman to escape oppression. Good products and a good cause, what more could you want?

Ingredients:
Facial Wipes: Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Bark/Leaf/Twig Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Peel Extract, Coffee Arabica (Green Coffee) Seed Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate, Lauryl Glucoside, Sodium Cholride, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol
Facial Cleanser: Aqua, Coffea Robusta Seed Extract, Passiflora Incarnata Fruit Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Fruit Extract, Coco-Glucoside, Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Propanediol, Citric Acid, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Molasses, Guar Gum, Caprylic Acid, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Extract (and) Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Extract (and) Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract (and) Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Extract (and) Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract (and) Clematis Vitalba (and) Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract (and) Pyrus Communis (Pear) Extract (and) Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract (and) Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract (and) Mangifera Indica (Mango) Fruit Extract (and) Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract (and) Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Fruit Extract (and) Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ascorbic Acid, Potassium Sorbate

Haul of the Week 1.29.14

Happy Wednesday, everyone! I hope you're week has been lovely so far! I'm still trying to kick this cold, but I really don't like resting! Can you believe that January is almost over already? I can't! I still haven't had many packages come in, and still no sign of one I ordered three weeks ago, but I did get two lovely packages this week.

What did you get this week? Anything new from a shop you haven't tried before?

Live Beautifully Solid Lotion & Face Butter

Hi everyone! I've been a little absent this week (I feel like it's Friday which is probably why I feel like I've been away longer than I actually have been). I've been a bit sick this week and my gosh darn computer almost never works and Rob's is a pain in the butt to use, so it's been hard to get posts up. I really need to figure out this computer situation! Anyway, I've been wanting to tell you about some of the other amazing products Live Beautifully Body offers. I hope you enjoy!

via
Company: Live Beautifully Body

Products: Beautifying Face Butter and Solid Lotion Bar Tube in Berry Lime Green Tea. The Beautifying Face Butter is probably one of my most favorite face products I've ever used. I'm using a bunch of different moisturizers right now, it's pretty crazy, but this one is definitely one of my favorites! This smells so clean and fresh, but the scent isn't crazy strong, it's actually pretty light. The Solid Lotion Bar Tube in Berry Lime Green Tea is absolutely wonderful! The scent is so bright and energizing, I find myself using it all the time whenever I feel like I need a boost of energy or just have some dry skin! The scent even seems somewhat bubbly or sparkling. The sweet berry scent combined with tart lime and green tea is just amazing.

Wear: The Face Butter goes on like a dream. It's supposed to be whipped, mine came when it was a bit colder so the consistency isn't really super whipped, but you can tell it's supposed to be. Is that confusing? It's a bit whipped but at the same time solidly packed. It goes on smooth and lightweight. I really love the way it makes my face feel. I usually wear this at night, but sometimes during the day if I'm not planning on putting on makeup right away because this stuff does tend to sit a bit before really getting absorbed. Long story short: this face butter has a lightweight, whipped consistency that feels like heaven on my face. If you like they're whipped lip butters for your lips, this is like those but for your whole face. The Solid Lotion Bar Tube also goes on lovely. It melts on contact with my skin and goes on smooth making my hands feel moisturized and soft. I usually use it on my hands, but have also used it on the heels of my feet and my elbows.

Lotion Bar, Berry Lime Green Tea - Sparkling Green Tea, Sweet Raspberry, Tart Lime - All Natural Lotion Bar Tube
via
Packaging: The Face Butter comes in a metal tin with a twist off top. The lid has one of those beautifully designed labels with the product type and ingredients on it. The Solid Lotion comes in a push up tube. I didn't know that at first, I thought it was a twist up tube, but no biggie. You push it up and the lotion comes out. The tube also has a twist off cap which I find unique for some reason as I'm used to pull off caps I guess. Both items would be perfect for travelling as they're lightweight and don't take up much space.

Price: The Face Butter is $12 and the Solid Lotions are $8. Both are definitely reasonable since these products last a while!

Overall
Pros: Wear, Packaging, Price, Scents
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. I wholeheartedly would recommend both of these products. I love them and use them at least a few times a week!

Ingredients:
Face Butter: Shea Butter, Apricot Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Cocoa Butter, Tea Tree, Labdanum, Bulgarian Rose Absolute, Bergamot
Solid Lotion: Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Apricot Kernel Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Coconut Oil, Natural Flavors & Oils

Have you tried these products from Live Beautifully yet? What did you think of them?

Balms of the Week 1.26.14

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope the weather has been beautiful wherever you are and that you've been able to get some time outside. I love the weekends because we try to spend a lot of time doing activities outside together since we're pretty cooped up during the week. This week my lips have been incredibly dry, peeling and chapped and I don't know why. I've been drinking about a gallon of water a day and the humidifier has been going nonstop all week. The only thing that's different this week is that I've done Hot Yoga every day, maybe that's it? I don't know, but either way, I've been using a ton of balm this week trying to keep my lips hydrated. Here's what I've been reaching for this week:

Eco Lips' Roseberry

Crazy Rumors' Pistachio

ForGoodnessGrape's Ava's Paradise

Eco Lips' Hemp balm in Vanilla

Eco Lips' Medicinal

Kiehl's Mango

Rooted Beauty's Orange Vanilla

What balms have you been using this week?

Eco Lips: Pure & Simple and Classic

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you're having a swell day so far. I realized that I'm quickly running out of Eco Lips balms to share with you, I cannot believe I'm almost done reviewing all 26 balms they sent me! Eco Lips have quickly become some of my most favorite balms, I find myself reaching for them all the time. I hope you've been able to try out some because I think they're pretty wonderful.

Company: Eco Lips

Flavors: Coconut (Purple & Simple), Grape (Pure & Simple), Kiwi Strawberry (Pure & Simple), Berry (Classic), Mint (Classic), and Sport (Classic). The Coconut is a really warm, toasty scent. It smells of creamy tropical coconut. To me it's more like a coconut cream scent than just a simple coconut scent, it sure does smell heavenly! The Grape is one I knew I probably wouldn't like, I don't like anything grape flavored except green grapes. But, this one wasn't so bad. It does indeed smell just like a grape sucker or candy and it's kind of growing on me, the scent is actually pretty lovely. If you're a fan of anything grape, this is probably a balm you'll want to try. The Kiwi Strawberry smells just like you'd assume, like sweet, ripe strawberries combined with slightly tart tropical kiwis. When I was a kid, well even up until now, I did not like anything Kiwi Strawberry, I didn't even like kiwis until about two years ago. This balm, however, smells pretty great. The Berry smells wonderful! A rich, bright berry scent. I can't really detect which berries make up the scent, but my guess would be strawberry and maybe raspberry and wild berry. Either way, it smells yummy! The Mint smells mostly of spearmint although there is a little bit of peppermint in there as well. It reminds me of Trader Johann's Virtuoso lip balm. It's just a classic mint balm, what more could you ask for? The Sport has almost no scent to me, it smells a little of vanilla, but not a whole lot. When I first sniffed it its smell reminded me of clarinet reeds, oh the good ol' days of being in band.

Wear: These balms feel firm, but then they go on so smooth. Slightly creamy, but a little more on the oily side. My lips feel a bit slick when I wear one of these. These are definitely lightweight and feel like they go on a bit thinner than most other balms I use, but at the same time it doesn't feel like I need to put anymore on. So I suppose a little goes a long way with these. The consistency kind of reminds me of Crazy Rumors or ForGoodnessGrape balms, except, like I said, slightly more slick. The Classic line balms also have SPFs of at least 15, the Sport has 30. I'll be tucking that one into my running jacket.

Packaging: These come in your average sized lip balm tubes, each one has a label that is colored to correspond to the flavor of the balm. The flavor of the balm is printed clear on the front beneath the company name. Simple, classic, not flashy.

Price: The Pure & Simple balms go for $1.99 each and the Classic balms are $2.49, which are both insanely great prices for these balms. That price point allows you to try more than one if you'd like!
