Wrangler's Monthly Wrap Up: April 2013

This month has gone by so quickly! I thought that waiting for a trip to Hawaii would make this month crawl by, but it didn't! Rob and I both felt that this month flew by and that there was still so much left to do by the time it was time for us to leave for our trip! Here are some of my favorite parts from this month:

I guess this month was a big month for Live Beautifully on my blog! I can't help it, I love their products!

A Look Into My Collection: Part 2

I hope you all enjoyed my last vlog, A Look Into My Collection: Part 1, I really enjoyed making it. I wanted this vlog to be just as good as the last one, but the day we shot this I was just having the worst day. Everything was going wrong for me, I felt sick, my body ached, I spent most of the day laying in bed and napping, I think I had about 5 emotional breakdowns that day. But, I was still determined to shoot the vlog the same day because I knew I wouldn't have any other time before my trip to do so. So I'm really sorry that this vlog isn't as great as the last one, but I do hope you still enjoy it! We had a lot of fun making it! Next time we promise to do better! (If you don't know who 'we' is, it's Rob and I, just FYI!) Enjoy!

I'd really love any feedback or your thoughts on this vlog! I love hearing from you guys!

I hope this helped start your week off right and that you have a wonderful day today!
Happy Monday!

PuurBody Balm of the Month: March & April 2013

There was a little mix up with last month's balm of the month, but now I've got this month's and last month's balms to review! Both of these are going to be perfect for summer! I love these lip balm of the month subscriptions, trying a new balm each month is so exciting (not that I'm not trying tons of new balms each month, but these ones I don't pick out!).

Company: PuurBody

Flavors: Oh My Darling and Cabana Boy. Oh My Darling smells amazing! It smells exactly like fresh clementines, one of my most favorite fruits! I can finish one of those crates in a day, I can never eat just one or five! This balm is sweet, fresh and citrusy, just lovely. The Cabana Boy smells creamy and tropical and definitely reminds me of being on the beach. This balm is a perfect blend of warm vanilla and tropical coconut with a hint of lime! Definitely one of my lip balm picks for summer!

Wear: These balms both go on super smooth and creamy, they glide right onto my lips! These balms don't just sit on top of your lips, but sink into them and really makes them soft.

Packaging: Oh My Darling comes in a lovely oval tube and Cabana Boy comes in your average sized lip balm tube. Both labels are simple and to the point, the flavor of the balm is stated below the shop name in a rectangle that is colored to match the flavor of the balm.

Price: $3.50 per tube which is totally worth it!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. I really like these balms! They're really wonderful. I can imagine that these will be getting a ton of use this summer, need I say it one more time? These will be great for summer!

Ingredients: Castor Oil, Beeswax, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Fragrance, Essential Oil

Have you tried these PuurBody balms before? What did you think of them?

Balms I've Got My Eye On 4.26.13

I hope you're all having a wonderful Friday! I'm probably off somewhere on a beach in Hawaii enjoying the weather and sun....oops! Sorry, I didn't mean to brag =). No, but really, I hope that you're all enjoying some beautiful weather and that you've been able to experience Spring. I know Chicago has been having some bad luck lately with weather, I'm not sure about the other parts of the country, but wherever you are I hope the weather starts warming up for you. Here are the balms I've been eyeing this week!

Aqua Blossom's Green Tea
Green Tea lip butter, natural vegan gluten-free lip balm, mao jian lip gloss
(via)
All of the new flavors I've tried so far have been amazing, so I'm definitely interested in trying some more; starting with this one!

TeNatura's Pamplemousse
Pamplemousse (Tahitian Grapefruit) Lip Balm
(via)
I've never had Pamplemousse before nor a Pamplemousse balm, so this one intrigues me!

Peach Lip Balm - One Tube Beeswax Shea Cocoa Butter Jojoba
(via)
I haven't tried this balm yet, surprisingly, but I think it would be great for summer!

What balms do you have your eye on this week?
Happy Friday!

Guest Review: Petite Threla

Hi all! I have yet another guest review for you today! Blaire from Dirtsy.com is here today to share with you her review on one of my favorite shops! Here's a little bit about Blaire: She is an indie Bath & Beauty junkie who bought 52 lip balms (in the same week!) after reading Lip Balm Wrangler (oops! I have a bad habit of doing that). She blogs about turning craft to business at dirtsy.com. Thank you, Blaire for sharing this review with us! I hope you all enjoy!
--------------------------
Hi everyone! I have a confession to make: I LOVE PetiteThrela. The "I would be totally devastated if you were gone" kind of love. PetiteThrela was one of the first bath and body shops I bought from. I never knew there were so many handmade B&B products out there and being the B&B junkie that I was, I splurged, I waited and I was hooked. I started with two lip glaces and four lip balms. TH was awesome and even added two scrub samples. She's cool like that. Fast forward almost three years later and I'm an addict with regular hauls.

Company: Petite Threla

Flavors: Yuzu, Pomegranate, Watermelon, Coca Cola, Jasmine. Yuzu is one of my favorite fruits. If you haven't eaten one before, give it a try; it's a large Asian grapefruit that's deliciously aromatic. TH captures the fresh citrus of Yuzu just right in this lip balm. It's as light as the fruit itself and is just as edible. Pomegranate is one of my latest hauls. The best part about PetiteThrela's balms is the fact that they are true to the fruit itself, instead of smelling like a candy version. Pomegranate is so real you can actually make out notes of the peel in the background. Watermelon is sweet and ripe, awesome for summer! Coca Cola is perfectly bottled in this lip balm. It's sweet and fizzy like the drink and you can almost smell the bubbles! Jasmine is made with real Jasmine Absolute, and reminds me of the trees in my old school yard. I used to sit under them during lunch time and let the gentle scent of jasmine sweep over. Sublime.

Wear: These lip balms go on incredibly smooth and have amazing texture. They're buttery without being goopy and I can barely feel them on my lips- a huge bonus since I hate heavy lip balms. These moisturize without being sticky; so light-weight they can be used under lipstick. One thing to note is the high heat-resistance of these balms despite being so buttery. They managed to survive sitting in a desert mailbox without melting.

Packaging: Each lip balm comes in a translucent tube and has the cutest label. The name of the flavor is written in large font with clip art of the fruit used as a background. This is one of the best forms of consistent branding I've seen.

Price: $3.5 per balm or $9 for a sampler pack.

Overall:
Pros: Wear, price and customer service.
Cons: PetiteThrela has over 60 flavors and they regularly add more. Stop it, TH, you're making trying out all your flavors that much harder!

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists!

Ingredients: beeswax, coconut oil, mango butter, sweet almond oil, safflower oil, aloe vera oil, soybean oil, vitamin E, lecithin (soy, certified non GMO), natural flavors, stevia (in select lip balms)

Guest Review: Honey Bee Holistics

Today I have a special guest review for you all! I'm so grateful that Alyssa owner and writer of the Soapy Days Blog offered to write a guest review for me while I'm on vacation this week. I hope you enjoy! Thank you, Alyssa, for being so great to do this for me!
-----------------------
Hello all! I love the Lip Balm Wrangler and am honored to be doing a guest review post here! The lip balms I am going to review come from one of my all-time favorite Etsy shops (and I've tried a lot!).

Company: Honey Bee Holistics

Flavors: Calendula Chamomile and Coconut Lime. The Calendula Chamomile is very plain in terms of flavor. I can mostly detect the oils used to make the balm with a hint of the flowers. It's a simple balm meant to be super healing. The Coconut Lime on the other hand is a fun flavor! The coconut is sweet and almost buttery pairing well with the citrusy lime. The coconut is stronger than the lime, giving the overall scent a certain creaminess. If a "creamy" scent makes sense to you! The other thing I like about this flavor is that it is made using all natural ingredients. I don't know about you, but sometimes artificial flavorings can irritate my lips. I love it when I can find flavored lip balms that don't use artificial flavorings (as fun as they can be!).

Wear: These balms feel a bit grainy in the tube but once applied, they glide on smoothly. Once on the lips, the balm feels wonderfully silky. Almost creamy. It is a very pleasant feeling with a bit of gloss! The balms last for a couple hours, about average for a balm. And they leave my lips feeling moisturized and happy!

Packaging: The balms come in regular lip balm tubes. The tubes are white with simple labels. There is not too much design on the labels, just text telling the name of the balm and ingredients and such. However, the labels hold up very well and I've had no issues with them.

Price: $3.75 per tube which is about average for lip balm, so I have no complaints!

Overall:Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price, Ingredients
Cons:

Rating: 4 out of 5 twists. These balms are truly great and definitely worth giving a shot if you haven't given 'em one yet!

Ingredients for Calendula Chamomile: local unrefined beeswax, organic fair trade shea butter, organic olive oil infused with organic calendula and chamomile flowers.

Ingredients for Coconut Lime: local unrefined beeswax, organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, organic fair trade shea butter, and organic lime essential oil.

Haul of the Week 4.24.13

Today's the day! I'm leaving for the airport right now as this post goes live. Hawaii, here I come! Oh boy am I so excited! My lip balm buying has kind of picked up a little recently, and I'm trying to keep it toned down, but I've had just a few set backs =). I can't wait to find new balms while I'm in Hawaii this week! Here's this week's haul:

Holy cow, these balms are awesome!

My March and April lip balm of the months!

I don't know why I waited so long to try these!

Couldn't help but take advantage of the BOGO sale last week =).

I went a little crazy on the new flavors from Gnarly Whale. I also got my huge bottle of hair detangler from them, if I haven't mentioned it before, I can't live without their hair detangler!

Yes, I went crazy and bought all the new flavors Adriana has come up with. She also included a tube of Mandarin Rose for me, thank you, Adriana!

I finally got my hands on the Banana Split balm! Allison also included a tube of Shamrock Shake! Thank you, Allison!

So, yes, I went a little crazy this week, did you? What did you get this week?

If you want to keep up with my trip in Hawaii, I'm sure I'll be updating Instagram, the Lip Balm Wrangler Facebook page, my personal Facebook page, and Twitter a bunch

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Gap Lip Balms

A while ago I went into the GAP (where I almost never go) and when I was being rung up, out of the corner of my eye on a shelf behind me I noticed little objects that I thought were lip balms. So, of course, as soon as I was done being rung up, I went over to have a look and was surprised to see that they were indeed lip balms! And they weren't just ordinary flavors either like strawberry and cherry, there were actually some interesting ones!

Company: GAP

Flavors: Pineapple Twist, Strawberry Kiwi, and Blackberry. The Pineapple Twist smells like amazing fresh and sweet pineapple, really nice and tropical and a great pineapple balm. I don't usually like the combination of strawberry and kiwi, but I thought I'd give this balm a shot. The Strawberry Kiwi smells incredible! Sweet, ripe strawberries combined with juicy kiwis, this balm really surprised me! The Blackberry balm smells just like the real thing; sweet ripe berries, perfect for summer!

Wear: These balms glide on so smooth! Two swipes on top and bottom and you're good to go! They cover really well. They also have SPF 18 in them so I like that especially now that I'm outdoors more and more now and I really need some extra protection from the sun.

Packaging: These balms come in your average sized lip balm tubes; the tubes are silver which isn't something that I see a lot, usually it's black, white, or clear. The labels on these balms are so fun and stick out a bit in my collection. They're a little bit shiny and metallic? If that makes sense. The labels look so chic and sophisticated.

Price: $4.50 per tube which is definitely out of my price range, but I think there was a special on these balms which is why I let myself pick them up.

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging
Cons: Price

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 twists. These balms surprised me with how lovely they applied and how wonderful the flavors were! They also have a plain mint balm that I didn't pick up, but I'm sure it's lovely as well!

Ingredients: Octinoxate, Oxybenzone, hydrogenated coconut oil, beeswax, candelilla wax, flavor, olive fruit oil, tocopheryl acetate, ammonium glycrrhizate, soybean oil, calendula officinalis extract, echinacea purpurea extract, tocopherol, lecithin, rosemary leaf extract

Have you tried any of the balms from the GAP before? What did you think of them?

Mini Monday 4.22.13

Happy Earth Day, everyone! I hope you're all having a fabulous Monday morning. I'm a little groggy today since I wasn't feeling so well yesterday and had so much to do that didn't get done. Today will probably be more stressful than I'd like since we go to Hawaii in two days and I have so much left to do! I still can't believe we'll be in Hawaii in just two days, this last month of waiting went by so fast! Anyway, before I run off to complete my mile long list of things to do, here's this week's mini Monday!

This balm smells amazing! I think it's the best Cake Batter balm I've ever used, ever. It smells like delicious cake! Seriously, this is giving Chapstick's Cake Batter cupcake balm a run for its money!

Aqua Blossom's Pina Colada
This Pina Colada balm is going to be perfect for summer. This balm is everything a Pina Colada balm should be. It's bright and tropical and reminds me of being on the beach. Oh man I can't wait to have a Pina Colada in Hawaii!

Ripe Shop's Spanish Granada
This balm smells like a much more mellowed out pomegranate scent. It's not as sweet and candy-like as other pomegranate balms I've tried which I actually like in this balm. It's much more true to the actual fruit I think instead of being overly sweet.

There you have it! I hope you enjoyed this week's Mini Monday!
Have a wonderful day!

This weekend is going by so fast and yet at the same time I feel like I haven't done anything! I haven't done half the things I wanted to do to prep for Hawaii. We're so excited to go, yet we haven't packed or done anything! So today will be a day full of packing, doing laundry, and cleaning our apartment. I hope you all will have a more relaxing and fun Sunday than I will! Here are the wonderful balms I've been using this week:

Epically Epic's Blueberry Peach

Nivea's Vanilla & Macadamia

Canfield Crafts' Chocolate Peppermint

Aqua Blossom's Strawberry Lime
Seriously, go try these new Aqua Blossom flavors, you can thank me later =).

Aqua Blossom's Lemon Cheesecake

Bungalow Bath & Body's Lemon Cheesecake

Ripe Shop's Mexican Horchata

Live Beautifully's Caribbean Punch

I've been using some really amazing balms this week, what have you been using? Did you find a new favorite this week?
Happy Sunday!

Country Blossom's Balm of the Month: April 2013

It's time for the next balm of my lip balm of the month subscription from Country Blossom! This month I totally forgot about it and was shocked one day when Rob came in with three packages when I only expected two. I love these lip balm subscriptions! It's such a nice little surprise each month.

Company: Country Blossom

Flavor: Lemon Pound Cake. This balm has a light lemon baked good scent. It smells of lemon and buttery goodness that you expect from a slice of pound cake. I wish it was a little bit more lemony, but that may be because I'm a huge fan of lemon and I think the more lemony a balm is, the better!

Wear: This balm goes on smooth and creamy like all my other Country Blossom balms and you definitely only need one or two swipes on top and bottom to get great coverage!

Packaging: This balm comes in your average sized lip balm tube. The label has the flavor of the balm written nice and clear right on the front, below it is a picture of lemon pound cake. Above the flavor of the balm is a sunflower with the shop name in it.

Price: $3 per tube which is definitely a great deal!

Overall
Pros: Flavor, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 4 out of 5 twists. Another wonderful balm from my balm of the month subscription! I'm still totally happy with this gift that keeps on giving!

Ingredients: Beeswax, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Flavoring Oil

Have you tried this Country Blossom balm before? What did you think of it?

Balms I've Got My Eye On 4.19.13

Another week has come and gone by so quickly! It's almost the weekend, everyone, just hang in there! This weekend I have so much to do as we prepare for our trip; I don't know if you guys know this about me or not, but I love packing. I honestly love it! I've had a list made of what to pack for the last 3 days, I really want to make sure we don't forget anything! So today while Rob's at work I hope to get a good start on our packing without him in the way (sorry honey, you know it's true!). Here are the balms I'm not allowed to buy this week because we're putting our money towards our trip, but I can still look!

Kohana Bath and Body's Hibiscus Cooler
Hibiscus Cooler Lip Balm Organic Ingredients-FREE SHIPPING
(via)
Now that Hawaii is less than a week away, I can't stop thinking about it and all the new balms I hope to find! I hope to find balms like this while I'm there!

Ripe Shop's Kiwi Passion Fruit
Kiwi Passion Fruit Lip Balm - Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Beeswax
(via)
Adriana has been coming up with some delicious balms lately! This one is definitely one of the most interesting flavors I've ever seen!

Suzy's Scent Shop's Prickly Pear
Prickly Pear - Lip Balm - Natural - Vegan - No sweeteners - Bath and Beauty - Fruit Flavor
(via)
Ever since I tried a Prickly Pear balm from Roxxy's Star Cosmetics, I've been wanting to try another one! This one is definitely on my wishlist!

What have you been eyeing this week? Any of your favorite shops come out with new flavors that you're swooning over?
Happy Friday!

Canfield Crafts

Okay I'm super excited to finally be able to share these balms with you all! I love these little bullet balms (as Rob and I call them). They're so cute and such a great idea for someone like myself who likes to try a ton of different lip balm flavors but never finishes a whole tube (I've finished like 10 or 12 tubes of lip balm in my lifetime, but only like 2 since I started this blog. There are a lot that are close to being done though!) So I hope you're ready to hear about these lovely little balms!

Company: Canfield Crafts

Flavors: Raspberry Earl Grey, Earl Grey with a Slice, Chocolate Raspberry, Pomegranate Peach, Orange Coconut, and Chocolate Peppermint. The Raspberry Earl Grey smells so yummy. It smells dead on of sweet, slightly tart raspberries and Earl Grey tea. The Earl Grey with a Slice smells like a cup of Earl Grey tea with just a hint of lemon, I honestly feel like I'm enjoying a cup of tea whenever I use this balm. The Chocolate Raspberry smells absolutely scrumptious! Sweet, tart raspberry combined with rich chocolate; if you're a chocolate lover you have to have this balm! There's real chocolate in this balm which makes it that much better (Note: I still wouldn't recommend eating it, the chocolate just makes this balm smell really, really good)! The Pomegranate Peach is absolutely perfect for summer! The peach is more distinct than the pomegranate which I actually love and it actually smells like real peaches! The combination of ripe, sweet peach and the hint of tart pomegranate is just wonderful. The Orange Coconut was a flavor combination I had never seen before and I was so excited to try it! It smells amazing, I honestly wish I could eat up these balms! Sweet citrusy orange combined with tropical coconut makes for a delicious lip balm. Now for what is probably my favorite Canfield Crafts balm...the Chocolate Peppermint! Seriously this balm is delicious, it makes me crave a York Peppermint Patty or a box of Junior Mints, seriously it's so good. I don't think I can emphasize how amazing this balm is! It's rich chocolate with cool and refreshing mint, oh my goodness it's heaven. If you like chocolate or mint, this is definitely one you need to try!

Wear: Not only do these balms smell amazing, but they go on amazing too! These balms glide right on my lips and are soooo creamy. I feel like they just sink right into my lips and makes them nice and smooth. I love the consistency of these balms!

Packaging: These balms come in mini sample size lip balm tubes! They're about half the size of a normal tube of balm and I love them! The flavors of each balm is put on front in different colors that match the flavor of the balm.

Price: $0.99 per mini balm, $2.50 for a full size tube. Either way, these are totally worth the price!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. I love these balms! If you haven't tried these balms yet, you need to go out and do so! I love the mini sizes, they're just so cute!

Rachel Rene Part III

A few months ago Rachel Rene underwent another grand opening, which of course included a grand opening sale of which I could not keep myself from partaking in!

Company: Rachel Rene Bath & Body

Flavors: Miss Ruby, Banana Daiquiri, and Pina Colada. The Miss Ruby smells of  sweet and slightly tart pomegranate. It's not overly sweet or overpowering in scent which is great if you don't like those things! The Banana Daiquiri smells of sweet, ripe, and fresh bananas. It's a perfect banana balm! This one definitely came in handy during that period of time where I was obsessed with banana balms. The Pina Colada smells just like the tropical drink! A wonderful combination of fresh pineapple and tropical coconut!

Wear: These balms go on beautifully! You really only need one swipe on top and on bottom, any more than that and it's overkill! These balms go on so smooth and creamy. They also feel a little bit thicker than my usual balms.

Packaging: These balms come in white standard sized lip balm tubes. The labels on these tubes are also white with the flavor of the balm stated on the front with the shop name and type of lip balm (balms can either be vegan or beeswax). These lip balm tubes also have caps with clips on them which makes them perfect to attach to your keys, that way you can really have your balm with you no matter where you go!

Price: $3 per tube or 3 tubes for $8 which is definitely a great price for one of these balms!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 4 out of 5 twists. These balms were great! I love the consistency of these balms and the variety of flavors Christine offers in her shop.

Ingredients: Castor Seed Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil, Aloe Leaf Extract, Carnauba Wax, Candelilla Wax Flavor Oil and/or Essential Oil, color

Haul of the Week 4.17.13

I can't believe how fast this week is going by! I feel like it's going by so fast, which is good for me because I can't wait to go to Hawaii in 1 week! I hope you all are having a wonderful week and that the rest of your week goes by smoothly! I've been tempted by so many balms lately and I've been caving slowly and buying more than I probably should, oh well! Here's this week's haul:

Okay, if you've been eyeing the new balms from Aqua Blossom, get them! They're all incredible! I'm sooo happy with them and really can't get enough!

The Horchata is amazing! But, what I'm most surprised about, is how much I like the Vanilla Bourbon!

My balm of the month for April from Country Blossom.

Cathy from Upstate Herb Works was so nice to send me these two products to try! Thank you, Cathy!

What did you receive this week?
Happy Wednesday!

Live Beautifully's Tropical Drink Anthology

I hope you guys aren't tired of reading about Live Beautifully products! I have such a large collection of their lip products that there's definitely going to be many more reviews to come! This time I'm sharing with you what I thought about their Tropical Drink Anthology.

Company: Live Beautifully Body

Flavors: Blue Island Breeze, Caribbean Punch, and Strawberry Colada. The Blue Island Breeze smells incredible! Tropical pineapple blended with ripe blueberries and topped off with fresh lemon, holy cow does this smell wonderful! The Caribbean Punch also smells amazing! It reminds me of the smell inside a bag of Starbursts, mostly of my favorite one, cherry! This balm is so sweet and fruity! It's definitely spot on pina colada with cherry, seriously, I want to drink this balm up! The Strawberry Colada isn't as sweet or fruity as the other two balms. I mostly detect coconut and pineapple, but not too much strawberry. But it's still a great balm!

Wear: These balms go on so smooth and easy! They glide right across my lips and sink right in! They're just lovely!

Packaging: Like all Live Beautifully products, I really love the way these balms were designed! They come in your average sized lip balm tube with beautifully designed labels. The labels are each colored differently to correspond to the flavor of the balm, they're so bright and pretty! What I love most about these labels I think is that the flavors that go into the balm are included on the front. I like this because sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what the balm is supposed to smell like! Like balms that are similar to the Caribbean Punch, it's hard to guess every scent in there!

Price: $4 per tube or $10 for the whole anthology! Definitely worth it!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. I really, really love Live Beautifully products! I'd recommend them to anyone who wants to try a new brand of balm! There are so many flavors and so many different products to choose from there's definitely a flavor or product for any taste or need!

Ingredients: Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Apricot Kernel Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Coconut Oil, Natural Flavors & Oils

Have you tried this anthology from Live Beautifully yet? What did you think of them?

Mini Monday 4.15.13

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had a nice restful and relaxing weekend and feel energized to start the week off on a good foot! We did a lot of spring cleaning on our apartment yesterday so everything looks nice and clean now which really motivates me to get more work done. I promise, e-mails and comments will be answered shortly! I've just been so busy lately, I hate taking so long to reply to anything! If you're still not fully awake and are dreading today already, I hope this week's mini Monday will brighten up your day a little bit:
ForGoodnessGrape's Raspberry Mojito
This balm smells wonderful! Bright, ripe raspberries combined with a little bit of mint. I think it smells perfect for summer, on the other hand Rob thinks it smells like strawberry fruit snacks (we never think two things smells the same).

This balm has a very, very light lime scent. but what's strange is when I put it on it's scent tastes (yeah I know that sounds weird) like these dried Asian plums that I love to eat! Rob thinks it smells like potpourri at a bath and body store (see what I mean?).

Bungalow Bath & Body's Lemon Cheesecake
This balm is a perfect lemon cheesecake balm. It's lemony sweet, but not too overbearing, and it has such a lovely creamy cheesecake scent to it too. This one Rob actually thought smelled like lemon cheesecake too!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Balms of the Week 4.14.13

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend so far! This weekend we've been doing a bunch of planning for our Hawaii trip in 10 days! We're really excited so this weekend has pretty much been all about that! I haven't even begun to think about which balms I'll be bringing with me because come on, let's be serious, that's a big decision and one I really need to think about. Eight days away from home and I need to select only a few balms to bring with me, this will definitely take some time! Some of the balms I've been using this week may be good ones to take along with me. Here's what I used this week:

Nivea's Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss

Little Batch's Pina Colada
Did I ever tell you guys about what happened with this balm? I was really, really tired one night and I put this on right before I passed out and apparently I never put it back in the bucket next to my bed. Instead, I had it clenched in my hand almost the entire night and sometime early in the morning I woke up wondering what was in my hand and attempted to put it in my lip balm bucket, but ended up half chucking it so that it hit my nightstand and fell right under the bed. I think that was the first time I ever fell asleep clenching a lip balm before.

Aqua Blossom's Raspberry Guava

Epically Epic's Blueberry Peach

What have you been using this week? Did you find any new favorites this week?
Happy Sunday!
