Petite Threla

I am SO sorry for the delay of these reviews, I haven't been late like this for posting reviews in a long while! But last night our flight got delayed an hour and we had 400 lbs of luggage to maneuver between my boyfriend and myself. When we finally got home and got our 10 bags through the door, we had two weeks worth of Christmas presents and mail to go through. I was so exhausted by the end of it all that I just couldn't get myself to write my posts. Any who, I am SO excited to finally be able to share with you these amazing balms I bought a few months back. Seriously, the second I opened one of these balms, I was in love and started recommending them to everyone! This is definitely one of my most favorite shops.

Company: Petite Threla

Flavors: Apple Ginger, Mango Mint, Yuzu, Grapefruit Lemon, Lemon Chiffon, and Lychee. The Apple Ginger is so interesting! There is a crisp scent of apple which mingles with the warm scent of ginger, it's a little warm and spicy with a touch of fruit. It's wonderful! When I first saw the Mango Mint flavor I thought it would be such a unique combination of scents. There is definitely a scent of mango and the tingly, coolness of mint. The mint is not overwhelming which allows the scent of mango to be detected. I have never had a Yuzu fruit before, but I'm always open to trying some new flavors, especially when they are fruit! The Yuzu balm is really unique. You can tell it's a light citrusy fruit, since Yuzu is a Japanese grapefruit. It does smell light like a grapefruit, but the scent isn't the usual grapefruit we're used to. To continue on with the citrus trend, I also chose Grapefruit Lemon which is super citrusy! I was surprised by how much you can detect both scents in this balm. I thought for sure one would be stronger than the other, but it's definitely not the case. You can detect sour, light grapefruit combined with sweet, fresh lemon. It's awesome! Now, for my ABSOLUTE favorite balm, the Lemon Chiffon balm is amazing. It's lemony and buttery and light. It smells like a wonderful light baked good. The lemon in this is so sweet and not overwhelming at all. I could seriously sniff this balm all day long but, I won't because people might think I'm weird. I was also able to choose a freebie with my order and I chose a Lychee lip balm. This Lychee balm is AMAZING. Definitely the closest balm in scent to the actual fruit, although this one is more like the lychee candy, this is seriously so good. It's light and fruity and just all around wonderful.

Wear: These balms go on amazingly. They go on really smooth, a little stickier than other balms but I think it makes these balms just amazing. It feels like the balm is really adhering to my lips and makes them super soft and moisturized. I can definitely depend on these balms for long lasting protection, probably upwards of 3 hours!

Packaging: Okay, the packaging and design of these balms are just so wonderful. I'm really in love with how the labels are designed. These balms come in your average sized lip balm tubes that are clear with white labels. The labels have prints on them of the fruit or other flavor that goes into the flavor of the balm and they are color coded to match. The flavor of the balm is displayed prominently on the front and seriously, I'm just in love with the design of these labels. They are so simple and to the point, yet very sophisticated looking to me. I think when I first got these I kept telling my boyfriend to admire the labels because I was just so infatuated with them!

Price: $3 for one or $8 for 3, either way it's an amazing deal. Definitely worth it for these balms!

Overall
Pros: Flavors, HUGE variety of flavors, wear, PACKAGING, Price!
Cons:

Rating: 5 out of 5 twists. Seriously, go try two or three of these balms, you won't regret it! I can't say enough about these balms. I love, love, love, love these balms! Did I mention I love these balms?

Ingredients: beeswax, coconut oil, mango butter, sweet almond oil, safflower oil, aloe vera oil, soybean oil, vitamin E, lecithin (soy, certified non GMO), natural flavors, stevia (in select lip balms)

Have you tried Petite Threla balms before? Which flavors are you favorite?

  1. I also LOVE Petite Threla! Their lip tints are also amazing, by the way! And, if you like jasmine or jasmine tea, their balm is absolutely,mind-blowing incredible. Never been disappointed by any of their balms or tints, though, and I have tried just about every flavor...not even kidding ;)

    1. I'm so glad you love them! I will have to look into their lip tints, I'm not a huge fan of lip tints, but I'm not opposed to trying new things from a shop I love!

      Thanks for sharing!

    2. Yes, made a small order & will try some of her other products if I order again. I used to live in the same town as her shop and would have enjoyed browsing.

    4. My balms arrived yesterday, and was impressed with how well blended and poured her balms are for a handmade product. Or perhaps she has used her science background to set up a lip balm production line. :) I agree with your description of the feel. I picked up a glace (a tint) and it had the same feel as the balms.

  5. I love their balms and tints too. Kept my lips happy throughout the long Finnish winter (as cold as -30deg C in Helsinki),and are just as wonderful in tropical Singapore where I live now. Never sticky or too shiny - and I just love the flavours and tints. My favourite brand in the whole world now :)
