Haul of the Week 1.30.13

I've received SO many wonderful balms this week! I've been having really good luck with finding such amazing balms. It's been a while (knock on wood) since I've had a flavor or a balm that really didn't sit well with me. Here's what's been comin' in this week:

I cannot get enough of these whipped lip butters! (Use code: LOVER20 to save 20% off your order, seriously try one of their whipped lip butters or one of their anthologies, all amazing!)

I can't stop myself from buying from The Simple Siren, especially when there are flavors I haven't tried and they have a coupon code (ORGANICLOVE20 until Valentine's Day).

As soon as I received my first order from Bag Lunch, I had to order a few more balms while they were having a sale (50% off their balms!).

I am SO happy I was able to find these! The Cake Batter is AMAZING. It's definitely my favorite and I can't stop using it!

When Lisa had a coupon code a little while ago I couldn't help myself from buying her "Spend Every Day of the Week with ForGoodnessGrape" bundle. She also threw in a Chocolate Kahlua balm, yum!

I've never ever bought just one balm from a shop before, let alone from Long Winter Farm. But I suppose there's a first time for everything! I already had all the balms I wanted from Amanda's shop, except for this one. It smells so chocolatey and amazing.

Did you receive anything super awesome this week?

  1. This past week I have received balms from ForGoodnessGrape, Ophelia's Apothecary and Long Winter Farm and I have a bunch on the way to me. Orange Thyme, Live Beautifully, Wicked Soaps and Aqua Blossom will all be finding their way to my mailbox this week. Wow I am an addict haha!

PS: Isn't The Simple Siren's Coconut Cream wonderful?!

    1. I was giggling when I read that because I have a lot of orders coming from most of those shops too. Don't worry, here you're not an addict, you're just another lip balm lover (I'm just going to keep telling myself that).

And yes! The Coconut Cream is so wonderful!

Hope you're enjoying all of your new balms!

  2. I am so anxiously awaiting my Live Beautifully order...! Just got my Crazy Rumors Sweetheart set and I LOVE everything in it, especially the Red Hibiscus (was so sad when it was only available as a lip tint)!!

I have to be honest; I tried Bag Lunch in the past and I found their balms were very thick and unpleasantly waxy on my lips. Also, if I licked my lips or rubbed them together, the balm turned white. Not very attractive...though I LOVED their scents. (Pineapple Upside Down Cake, swoon!) Glad they are working for you!

Recently bought some Bonne Bell Lip Smackers and was pleasantly reminded of why I used to LOVE them as a kid- still wonderful :)

    1. I hope you love your Live Beautifully balms, they're seriously amazing!

I'm still waiting for my Sweetheart set and I seriously can't wait any longer, I'm dying to try them all!!

I wonder if Bag Lunch may have changed their formula, their balms do go on very thick but I haven't found them to be waxy. Strange! It's also strange that you found the Pineapple Upside Down Cake to smell so good, mine doesn't smell like anything! Maybe I should try a little harder to detect something haha. Otherwise they've been fine so far!

There are some new Bonne Bell Lip Smackers I want to try that they released for their 40th birthday, I'm glad you're enjoying them!

  3. This week I received Live Beautifully Chocolate Orange lip balm and the Peach Vanilla Whipped butter. Trish both you and Christina were right about how awesome the Chocolate Orange balm is!!! I plan to order more of the whipped butters before the coupon expires!
I also received balms from For Goodness Grape (The Elvis, Grasshopper, and Cream Soda (I can see why Christina loves this balm), Ripe (Mango, Indian Mango, and Bourbon Vanilla) and Willow Tree Minerals (Pound Cake, Almond Biscotti, and Cake Batter)! Also, bought the 2 limited edition cupcake flavors from Chapstick!

    1. I'm so glad you're enjoying the Chocolate Orange, it's definitely one of my absolute favorites! Their whipped lip butters are to die for, I can't stop ordering them (although I should), but 20% off is too good an offer to pass up.

The Cream Soda from FGG is definitely one of my favorites! I'm so happy you like it =). How is the Indian Mango? I'm still dying to try that one. I'm also very curious about the Bourbon Vanilla.

I can't get enough of the Cake Batter from Chapstick, it's so good!

    2. Denise, I knew you would love the Chocolate Orange from Live Beautifully! And I have the Peach & Vanilla whipped lip butter too, it was my first one! I just got 2 more today in Chocolate & Butterscotch and all I can say is WOW! These are really something special! I'm already eyeing half a dozen more haha! If you like peach, you should also try their Warm Peach Cobbler balm. I got that today as well and it's fabulous! Smells just like the real thing. :)

    3. Trish, I actually have a few Live Beautifully balms in my cart as we type! I have the Lime Vanilla Whipped Butter, Blueberry Violet lip balm, Coconut Cream Pie, and Banana Cream Pie. I don't want to purchase until I am sure I don't want to add anything more. I am thinking about the Peach Cobbler-How did you know? Too funny!

    4. Denise you will LOVE the Lime Vanilla Whipped Lip Butter and the Coconut and Banana Cream pies, they're all amazing!

I made the mistake of ordering before I was completely ready and ended up placing two separate orders, ugh!

I am waiting on the Peach Cobbler to arrive, I'm so happy you liked yours Trish!

I'm hoping my Live Beautifully order arrives tomorrow, it's so hard to be patient.

    7. We most certainly do! We always end up ordering the same lip balms! I think it's cool!

I am also thinking about LB's Lemon Cream Pie flavor!

Trish, Allison made me some custom flavors and she is offering them up as a special edition set! Christina already placed her order! Don't wait because she only made a few extras!

    8. The Lemon Cream Pie is amazing! Basically you can't go wrong with any of the balms in the Sweet Cream Pie Anthology haha. They were the first ones I used and they're all incredible.

I can't wait to try the custom flavors you had made! You always pick the best flavors!

    10. Okay, I might as well buy the 3 pack! I am sure I will love all the balms and I just love real cream pies!

Yay, Trish! Glad that you reserved some balms! I should have known that you ordered them already!

  4. The Indian Mango is a very interesting and unique flavor unlike any other balm that I own. Sweetness of Mango with spice and a bit of floral? It reminds me of the book and movie "Eat, Pray, Love" which I am a fan of!
The Vanilla Bourbon smells of Sweet Vanilla which Bourbon alcohol! I love sweet and savory drinks!
Oh, Trish I love the Coconut Balm from Simple Siren too!
This week I am waiting for balms from Kohana Hawaii Bath and Body, Epic Soaps, and Passion Moon Potions of Hawaii!

    1. Ooh, those both sound good! Now I'll definitely have to make sure to try both next time I order from Ripe Shop.

I've never heard of Kohana Hawaii or Passion Moon Potions, so of course I'm off to look them up now =).
