Badger Balm

Hi all,

I know usually on Tuesdays I try to do a lipstick or a lip gloss, but a couple of weeks ago I had a request to review Badger lip balms so I figured I'd put a hold on the lipstick review for today and do the requested review instead. These next couple of weeks are filled with SO many lip balm reviews and giveaways and such that I was scared I wouldn't have a place for this company until next year! So I hope you'll forgive me for not having a lipstick review today. Without further adieu, here's the low down on Badger balms:

Company: Badger Balm

Flavor: Pink Grapefruit. I used to think that this balm was the best grapefruit balm I had found, until I found my Burt's Bees Refreshing Grapefruit balm (review can be found here). This balm smells like grapefruit, but not as citrusy or sour as I'd like. It's a very lightly scented balm, which is okay because grapefruits don't really have a very strong scent.

Wear: This balm goes on very, very smooth and melt right into my lips. It feels great! My lips feel very nourished after using this balm. It goes on thick enough that it coats your lips in 1 to 2 swipes.

Packaging: Badger Balms come in your average sized lip balm tube that are usually colored to match the flavor of the balm. They also have a picture of a Badger usually on the front of the balm.

Price: About $3 a tube which is a pretty great price for a nourishing, organic lip balm like this.

Overall:
Pros: Wear, Packaging, Price
Cons: Scent of balm

Rating: 3 out of 5 twists. This balm makes my lips feel SO good, but I'm not a huge fan of the flavor/scent. None of their other flavors have really appealed to me, but I wouldn't be opposed to trying another one of their balms in the future!

Ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Beeswax, Organic Castor Oil, Essential Oils of Organic Grapefruit, Organic Sweet Orange, and Organic Cedarwood, Organic Aloe Extract, CO2 Extracts of Organic Rosemary, Organic Seabuckthorn Berry and Organic Rosehip

Have you tried Badger Balms before? What did you think of them?

  1. I like their "Ginger & Lemon."
I bought a four pack for under 7 dollars, which was a great deal! I got Mint, Tangerine, Ginger & Lemon, and unscented.

  3. Great review Christina! Have you tried Badger's cocoa butter balms? They (in my opinion!) are much better than the normal ones, which I tend to find a bit thin. The Vanilla Bean and Cool Mint are my faves. They cost around $4.50, but the tube is huge at 7g. They are my favourite balms, with Long Winter Farm coming in at a close second!

    1. Thank you, Emma! I haven't tried the cocoa butter balms yet, but I should! I love balms with cocoa butter in them. I will definitely look into trying those in the future. Thank you for the recommendation!
